Product questions

Im trying to count the number of times on a page that a certain string is there. All the shapes are not connected to each other, they are individual this is what i have tried so far but i don’t think its getting me any closer {{=count(FILTER(PAGE.DESCENDANTS, contains(@"Length", "50")))} I have a data field attached to the shapes with the name ‘Length’ from a google sheet.Im happy to either pull the string from there or from the actual displayed string

Hi first of all - big thank for so incredible product. According this video tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eMxlqMgskHw it was possible to collapse and expand subtopic or child topic before. But I can't find this functional now. Is it still possible?   Alex

I would like to be able to copy a table, or a text document with lots of line breaks, and paste so that each cell, or each line of a long text becomes a post-it. CSV import is too time consuming, and I have all these loose files on my computer that I only needed for copying and pasting.Should be able to copy from:Google Doc Google Sheet Numbers (apple standard) Notes (apple standard) AirtableProbably also excel and word, but I personally don’t use either.

I cant see the color on boxes but i can see colors on lines. The other collaboraters can see color. I am unsure of what setting i have turned off.

I’m wondering if anyone can help. I’ve managed to create option 1 via shape data, conditional formatting and dynamic shapes. But I really want it to look like option 2. where the whole shape is filled depending on the progress added to the shape data. Any ideas greatly welcomed! ThanksPolly

Hi I want to create a container which can then be hidden - unsure if I give edit rights to the board after creation to other users will they be able to unhide the container?

I have a somewhat complex database I’ve imported and I’m looking for ways to create a simpler view for a non-technical user to begin from. Is there a way to hide the fields when importing or after importing? Or do I have to manually adjust every entity? I found this post but it’s in relation to salesforce and I don’t see an option to not show fields in the SQL import. Hide fields in ERD | Community (lucid.co)

We are merging and have begun using Visio. There are some users that have Lucid Chart and still use this program. I am an admin and when I followed the steps to Export. The file does download however I receive the following message: There is no application wet to open the document "Test" and to search the app store which is to no avail. I believe we have the desktop application for Windows but not for Mac. Has anyone run into this issue? We only have it Web Based through Office 365. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thank you Millie

When I try to import a jamboard, i select the email address I want to use, click ok on the second page, then get looped right back to the start. Repeat repeat repeat. It says I have already given permissions to access my google drive but it will not let me continue to transfer a jamboard without getting me stuck in this loop.

Hello i am looking to create a pyramid diagram.  This would be a pyramid diagram often called a family pyramid or customer oriented pyramid chart.  where each level can be colored differently and separated from other items.  i can not find a way to do this in lucid other than stacking pyramids and the results of this have been extremely poor.  Any help here?  Seems to be a common chart in other applications.

I have an org chart which I have set to A3 landscape, fit to page with several pages set to A3 Portrait which display the org chart across the page rather than down (due to flat structure of the org unit).  When I attempt to print, the print preview does not reflect the fit to page and the page settings revert to custom and the orientation changes (landscape to portrait and vice versa).      The page setting appears to apply to the whole document rather than individual pages.

Collaborative AI is now available in Lucidchart! Use the Summarize feature to generate a Container with a paragraph explaining the content of your selected objects.  In the GIF below the process of creating an AI generated summary for a flowchart is outlined. Refer to our Transform productivity and innovation with Collaborative AI article for written instructions.   Tell us below in what ways summarizing your diagrams will improve your workflow.

Hello, I really like how easy that is to create an org chart with the capability to drag and drop objects to connect them and also the ability to collaps parts of the tree to be able to focus on the part of the chart that I wish to. On the sales account mapping I like the option to control the contact role and the colors that it applies to the shap. How can those two be combined? like org chart but with contact role selection with colors?

Hello Is there a keyboard short cut that would simulate all this with a single press: 1. Press on red dot stating "Drag a line from this shape". 2. Open menu for selecting next object to be added in line. 3. Add that object and connect to it. Ideally it would duplicate previous object and connect them.It would be ideal if shortcut could copy previous object. But even if there is shortcut for only first two steps it would be helpful. Thanks in advanceMatija Zorboski.

Hello I recently submitted a support ticket and they asked me to open Lucid in an incognito window. I don't know what that is or how to open one. Can someone help?

I have a Lucidchart with 4 tabs (V1, V2, V3, and V4).  I have made V4 the Master.  I then “Publish” the Lucidchart and get the url I can share to both Lucid and non-Lucid users.  Unfortunately, when any user clicks on the link, it takes them to V3.How can I get the link to open up for all users to the tab I have chosen as the Master, V4?

Is there any way to import a YAML or JSON file to Lucidchart?

Hello There.. !  I have weird behaviour to ask here. We have imported our Visio templates in Lucid chart and exported them back as “.vsdx” extensions. We use these visio templates on our web app to show real time data on Visio templates.Everything was well when we verified this import / export of Lucid to Visio untill 14th June.Once Visio software was pulled back, our visio exports from Lucid stopped opening in browser with real time data. It gives error as Microsoft Visio Viewer not able to complete this operation. Can someone advise here ? It’s kind of urgent.

I want to make a follow along type flow chart for some big processes where after user selects a “Yes” or “No” decision, subsequent steps in the flow chart are displayed or highlighted and user can keep going down that flow. Is it possible on Lucid Chart?

How do I copy or move a LucidSpark board in my documents to my teams

For our company org chart, I would like to create multiple tabs with our different departments linked to the first tab so that way if we make any changes to the first tab (featuring the entire org chart), the data will update on the other tabs respectively.

I have an Org Chart created but have hit limits in the ways Lucidchart allows me to move the shapes around. For example I want to create a tier that does not have the same vertical spacing between it and other tiers as our standard tiers. I understand it's not possible to make this change in the Org Chart tool but is there a way to use the diagram I created with the Org Chart tool as a starting point and start editing the shapes manually? Thanks!

When I drag an object say Process onto screen with my mouse, it constantly changes shape per attached picture. I cannot use your app and cannot find a fic. Help

I have an issue where Lucid Chart links put into Jira or Confluence do not allow me to click through to the diagram because their automatic embedding fails to load. I do not want the preview, I just want to be able to link to a Lucid Chart diagram (and click to diagrams others have linked) but I am completely blocked from doing so.  It says “Our servers experience an error” but it is not a transient error since it has been this way for weeks. I like Lucid Chart but it is a serious limitation that I cannot link to the documents in it. I consider that a baseline functionality for any web application. Screenshot attached

I’m sure I’m missing something straightforward.  I have played with the document settings for the canvas a few times and saved the pdf with ‘crop to content’ so that the work fills the page.  But when it’s downloaded to my computer, when I open the file, the image appears as a tiny spec.
