Link data to EXISTING charts in lucidchart?

Hello I have created org charts in Lucid chart via importing data from google sheets. Now that I have created the charts I would like to link the data. However when I follow the instructions it opens up another shap with the data but I would like to link the data to an existing shape.  Is this possible?

Notification for Guest Collaboration

With Lucid Spark board is it possible to get notifications when changes are made to the board by a guest who has been given a link?   I have tried this a couple of times and nothing seems to happen?

LUCIDCHART TEMPLATE #ERROR!

When i open a lucidchart template all of the data says #ERROR!  How do i make this go away? I want to see the content within the template for inspiration.

Dashboard Creation

Hi I am trying to create a dynamic dashboard but am not finding any luck from watching the countless how to videos online. A lot of the videos explain the process using linked data but I only have the function to import data and this is where the biggest issue is coming from when I try to create a dynamic icon to show the status of copmleted pending and new projects.  Please can some one offer some advice on how to do this.  Thank you

Conditional Formatting Icons Not working

We are using conditional formatting for shape icons that we use inside swim lanes for tracking who is assigned to a project in a program status of program and resource allocation.  The problem is that when the page is loaded sometimes they populate sometimes they don't. This occurs across MS Edge and Chrome and across multiple users on different machines. This issue is very frustrating. Anyone else with this issue? - Thank you

Documenting UI states

Can you use LC to document different states of your UI. For example how the UI may look like between customers that are logged in vs. logged out. This way stakeholders and designers can not only see the different states but see how a potential UI change may affect other states of the application that they may not know about it.

Measuring space

I am looking for a way to mark the measurement of distance between two objectives.  I stencil that I can use to put and visually show the space between  I want to ensure I am spacing correctly.   I cannot find it anywhere it has to exist.  Any help is appreciated!

How do I download images that have been placed on a Board?

One of our vendors has pasted a bunch of imagery to a LucidSpark board and I need to get those images on my computer to do some edits. I used to be able to right click and Download the images when I used Miro but I can't find the option on LucidSpark. Where can I find it?Thanks!

Embed link does not optimise screen real estate

Hello team   I am trying to embed my lucid chart into a Google Site but the size never seems to optimise the published website width or height. Is there not a way to have the chart boundaries fill to the edge of the screen rather than have so much white space?

Can no longer edit any options on Arrow Shape (except 'flip')?

On Friday I got my whiteboard to a good spot and logged off for the weekend. This morning I loaded it back up to make some edits and all the Arrow Shapes that I set up on Friday all of which have custom Text inside them (like any other shape can) - none of them can be edited any more. I can ONLY "flip" the arrow. That is the only option. Nothing for color stroke text - no other options except flip. I really need to edit these arrows and be able to add new ones. How do I fix this ASAP?Arrows now only show this option (flip) But arrow shapes should show all the options:

Pasting text copied from Word in Lucidchart

I am attempting to copy text information from Word and paste into a Text box in Lucid and it is not working. Is there a step I am missing? I have attempted using keyboard shortcuts the mouse buttons and the Paste option from the menu.  Thanks.

Multiple Door Issue

I am trying to create a floorplan diagram with multiple doors. However as I add a new door or multiple doors I cannot adjust the position of the new door without moving the other doors that are already placed on the diagram. Please let me know the solution to this issue asap. Thank you.

Can't resize doors and windows

I make food trailers plans and I use the door and window elements a lot. I'm trying to resize or move each element individually but they move together and I can't resize them at all. As you can see here I just select the door to move it:   But when I do it the door moves along with the window object:   The objects are not grouped or locked so I don't know what is happening. Thank you for your answers.

Hello  Is there a way to add a definition of the attributes in my ER-diagram in lucidchart?  Ideally I would like something were you can hover over the attribute and it gives you a definition but anything helps. Thank you!

Create a current and future state diagram in Lucidchart

Do you want to visually compare your current process to your ideal process? Use layers to show the new steps you want to add to your current process without creating a whole new flowchart. Follow my simple new hire onboarding process to learn more about using layers 🤓! In this example I showed how new hire onboarding could be improved with an online test to assess how much the new hire remembered from the online training modules. The ideal process would add two steps to the existing process: The new hire takes an online test. An employee checks the test score for proficiency.Instead of creating two separate flowcharts to compare the current and ideal processes I used layers to add these two steps from the ideal process to the diagram with the current process.  To begin I dragged a swim lane pool onto a blank document. Then I used Flowchart shapes to map out the current new hire onboarding process which made up the base layer of my diagram. Next I clicked the Layers icon in the bottom

Lucidchart document locked for editing, view only

I'm using the free plan to evaluate the system for my team and the system has locked the first and only chart I've made as "View Only" saying that only the 3 most recent charts are editable. But I've only actually made this one chart. It looks like the system is counting all of the charts loaded while going through the various training courses as charts *I* created and counting them in the most recent limit. Can this be fixed or will I have to recreate my initial chart for it to be editable again? I have no problem with the limit for the free account it's just that counting the charts I used as part of the training courses is hindering my ability to review the product for my team. Thanks!

How do I move from one Connector Shape to another Connector Shape

Hi I have fairly large flow chart. Instead connecting one shape with another shape with a very long connector from one end to another end. I am using the circle shape (Connector) as below.      Is there anyway to click on the outgoing connector to move the view to centered on in incoming connector?

Copy to layer - formatting from original document isn't kept

Having an issue with copying to another layer: I've got a large diagram with many connector arrows between elements - did a lot of precise playing around to make sure they all show nicely. But when I copy the connector to a new layer it doesn't always keep that formatting from the original...why? Sometimes no problem other times a big problem and I can't seem to play with the connectors on the new layer to make them match.
