How do different align options affect the positioning of objects in my document?Lucid advice

Align shortcuts allow you to reposition objects on the canvas so they are aligned relative to other selected objects. This post will outline how each alignment option - Left, Right, Top, Bottom, Center, and Middle - adjusts objects for a cleaner and more organized layout.   LeftThe ‘Left’ option aligns a group of objects with the left-hand side of the object that was right-clicked. Lucidscale diagram on Confluence white space and zoom level controls

As shown in the screen capture below, the Lucidscale image of an AWS architecture in Confluence initially shows up at 4574% zoom in the upper lefthand corner. Worse you only see the Open with Lucidscale and the zoom controls if you mouse over the image. As such, users would think this is basically a blank page. Any suggestions would be appreciated.Thanks,Chris

Is anyone else having issues Linking Tickets together via the Lucid JIRA Integration?

I just recently discovered the Lucidspark JIRA integration that lets you import JIRA tickets into a timeline like view and even create JIRA tickets by converting your cards into JIRA cards.  This has been a great way to visualize large features and project velocity and identify potential issues, however, I noticed that while the UI lets me drag a connector between JIRA cards and set the type of linking between them (E.G. blocks), the connector disappears and I receive an error message about not having permission to create or change ticket linking. This is odd to me, because I can go into JIRA and manually link the two tickets together just fine and see the change reflected on Lucidspark, so the issue seems to be between Lucidspark and JIRA.  Has anyone else experienced this issue? It’s almost like my Lucidspark JIRA integration is missing the required linking scope, but if that were the case I’d expect to see more people posting about this issue...

"Frame Pinning"

I am notorious for building giant flow charts and it’s hard to try and communicate things over video that is more informative than saying “here” and “go to the right...keeping going….THERE!” My question is -- is there a way to “pin frames” in an “always on top” fashion where I could create something similar to what Excel has in terms of “column letters” that is as wide as my canvas and “row numbers” as tall as my canvas and tell users “go to area G45” which would essentially put them in the middle of the chart.

Currently I am running into an issue where, I create a new card via my creator. The update refresh, then goes through the keys which, now has an incorrect id type that's not associated with the task. Is there a way to prevent this action from being pulled immediately?

Change Shape has moved!Product update

In a recent update to our UI, the change shape feature was updated and is now accessible via the change shape icon To access this feature, select your shape and the change shape icon will appear above your shape.Hope this helps!

Adding Lucidchart diagram to Microsoft Word

I was trying to copy a lucidchart diagram to Word but it either pastes an older version of the diagram or just a blank box. The Lucidchart page shows a "Saving" notification but it does not finish saving for over an hour. If I refresh the lucidchart page the change is lost (not saved). How to fix this issue?

Change Fill Color of Shape

This used to be an easy thing to do, but with the updated layout I cannot find it and all the help articles are outdated.  I just want to change the background color or fill of a shape. I don’t want to make a whole new style. Just change the color of the font and the border and the background. I can do some of these, but not all. Please help.

Can't edit my flowchart

This morning I started to edit a flowchart that I’m working on, but I wasn’t able to. I’ve The grid behind my flowchart disappeared, and the options available under my title have also changed. The whole time I’ve been using Lucid and making these flow charts the following options have been present under the title File  Edit  Select  View  Insert  Arrange  Share  HelpHowever, on the flowchart that I can’t edit anymore the following options are the only ones showing up File  View  Share  Help The page that I cannot edit is still saved as a “draft”. Can you please direct me on what I can do next? I haven’t changed the status of this flowchart or moved it to complete or anything like that. Also if it’s helpful, I’m the person who’s created the flowchart.  Thanks

Your tech is not supportive of neuro divergent who need to use dark theme

Not all the features show up for people. who have to use dark theme d/t neuro divergent difference. really not good at all    Therefore are forced to use not dark theme which can cause seizure to increase symtoms of brain injury

Data Linking: Replace vs. Refresh your data set in LucidchartFAQ

Let’s talk Data Linking! You can create powerful, data-driven visualizations by importing data sets from Google Sheets, Excel spreadsheets, and CSV files. But what about the updates you make to your data set? No worries! You can use the Refresh or Replace Dataset feature. Both of these options can be found by clicking the Manage Data icon located in the top-right corner of the Data panel in Lucidchart.🔄 Refresh Dataset (Google Sheets only): By default, your spreadsheet will automatically sync to Lucidchart every 30 seconds. You can also pull updates manually by clicking Refresh Dataset. How come my Lucidchart documents aren't saving?Troubleshooting

If you have lost your documents or work please check out our Troubleshooting: Saving Help Center article . If you still have questions after reviewing the article comment them below! We'll be happy to respond and help you with any question or concern you have.   Changes or Edits Not Saving ⏳ Note: Saving issues are often related to an unstable internet connection. You may want to look at your internet connection to confirm that this is not a factor.  If you have not yet lost the work and your Lucidchart document continuously shows "saving" it is important that you do not close your document refresh your browser or restart your computer until your work is saved. To proceed with your work you can copy the content of your document to another Lucidchart document by following the steps listed in the Help Center article  mentioned above.

Org chart exporting as blank page

I have a very large org chart. When I go to export it, it shows up as a square blank page in the preview. If I export it, I get a PDF that is 5080x5080mm and a warning that it exceeds the maximum page size. The chart itself in Lucid is just under 30000mm.I tried duplicating the page to see if that would fix it, but the chart doesn’t even display on that page. I can zoom in and out as I can see the scroll bar changing size, but the page is blank. I tried it in an InPrivate window (we can only use Edge) and this page of the document wouldn’t display at all. It’s been working fine for a month or so. I did have this same issue earlier but got around it by putting a second copy of the data on the same page and rolling up half of it on each copy so they were one under the other, as I suspected the length of it might have been the issue. This time around I can’t fix it.

I cannot edit the line connector shape on org chart

My org chart layout is correct and as I want it but I find that some connector lines are longer and with bends instead of the straight line connector that others have. I want all connectors to be the same, straight line but I cannot edit the longer ones to format to shorter straight lines. Below is a screenshot to show the random bent line connectors that I do not want.

Printing Lucidchart layers onto transparencies

Hey Diagrammers! Has anyone printed a physical copy of a diagram with layers on different acetate transparencies? I want to turn the ‘Vision’ for my program, something typically abstract in it’s digital form (a pdf) into something very concrete: a nicely-bound pamphlet including multiple diagrams, and each diagram has multiple layers/pages. (Did you watch Jerry Maguire)  I wondered if anyone had done this and had any lessons learned or tips to share. Pablo

Universal Settings & Issue with Properties Toolbar in Lucidpark

Hi everyone,I’ve noticed a change in my Lucidpark project page. Previously, there was a Properties Toolbar that remained fixed at the top under the main menu. However, it has now disappeared, and instead, a Universal Settings panel appears on the right side of the document. Additionally, when I click on a shape, its individual properties settings pop up.For my workflow, the old toolbar style—always visible at the top of the document—was much more convenient. However, I can't seem to find a way to restore the old toolbar view. I’ve also checked the general document settings but couldn’t find an option to switch back.Does anyone know if there’s a way to bring back the previous toolbar layout? Any help would be greatly appreciated!Thanks in advance!

Link Lucidspark to a different Azure DevOps account

Hi-I am trying to integrate LucidSpark with one of my Azure DevOps accounts. Our IT department has already connected the app to our Lucid Enterprise account. When I go in to link the app to my Azure DevOps account it defaults to our company account, but I actually need it to link to a client account for a project I am working on. Specifically,I login to my Lucid account using my company email. I open a LucidSpark board and select the Azure DevOps icon. Confirm the account is not linked via the “Settings” tab. Select “Import work item” RESULTS: Lucid automatically links to my company account (i.e. I don’t get the option to “Authorize” or log in to my client ADO account). The same thing happens if I select “Link” from the “Settings” tab.Is there a way to force the “Authorize” pop-up or otherwise select a different ADO account to link? I appreciate any assistance. I’m really excited by the potential to link my Spark Boards with ADO so I don’t have to manually enter brainstorming tickets.R
