Why is it that when I create a 10 x 10 room the wall dimensions on parallel walls do not show up the same event though the room appears square?

Wall measurements are specific to the side of the wall that they appear on. So, if two walls of the same length are appearing with different measurements, one measurement may be for the interior side of the wall and one for the exterior. I think it’s due to the thickness of the wall. 10’ is internal dimension and 10’10 is external dimension.
