I want to place the same shape in multiple layers.  The use case for this is a complex diagram where the receptor ( the user that reads the diagram ) can focus on just one layer.  But some of the shapes are used in multiple layers.   More specifically if you have a web application with two use cases and one HTTP container  then the layers for both the use cases will contain the shape for the HTTP endpoint.       

First time user.  I am trying to create a duplicate diagram to work on it on a different page.  When I go - File - Duplicate - and go to the new page it gives me a link instead 

I am not able to save a chart to my hard drive?

Hi there I frequently share a Lucidchart URL of the full document to non-lucidchart users. They love it by the way. I want them to enter the document on a certain tab in a certain view. How do I manage the view they enter when opening the URL? It seems to be off all the time now but I cannot find a place where I can change this. You would really help me by solving this problem. Thanks!

We want to switch our account owner to a different user. I could not find the action to mark an user to be account owner.

HelloI cannot believe it but nowhere is there a simple explanation for how to rotate shapes. Often Lucidchart freezes up because it's trying to automatically rotate a shape (when I didn't request it) and I can't figure out how to turn that off.When I want to rotate  a shape the icon is nowhere to be found. Also I want to create a thick curvy line between shapes but I am limited to 10pt. Is there a way to make it thicker?

I am using the Google Docs addon and while it works to insert and update images it is not showing the preview of the images in the screen where you choose what you want to insert. It just shows the default "cannot display image" icon. This is frustrating for larger projects where I might have 20+ images. I have to count what image number it is.  When I right-click the image icon and say open in new tab I get a "Document access forbidden" error. Please bear in mind that I CAN browse all the Lucid documents I CAN insert and update images. So clearly Lucid DOES have access. It is ONLY for this preview that it does not work.

Hello I need assistance with the export to SQL feature for my ERD. I saw this feature in a Lucidchart YouTube video and I've been looking for it but I can't seem to find it. When I open the shapes section the only option I am seeing under ERDs is "import" but no export. Was the feature removed or maybe I'm just not looking in the right place?

HI I have been linking shapes in a diagram to other pages (tabs) in my document. This feature worked well.  I recently downgraded to Professional (1 user) and now when I try to create the action "Link to Page" in a shape it does not open up the drop down that allowed me to select the page in the document where to link.  Nowhere it says that the linking feature is tied to the license model.  Linking a shape to an external URL seem to work OK. Is this a recently introduced bug or is the result of the change in license? Many thanks Alex

Because LucidChart has bogged down with 100+ pages in a single document I am trying to split the document into smaller docs. Unfortunately the available tools in LucidChart make that difficult.When a page is "Imported" to a new document the Master page link is lost. Is there a way to assign the Master page to an entire document instead of one-page-at-a-time?

I am trying to share a diagram with some colleagues hopefully by inviting using the Email option. When I add their email address and select the appropriate access I get the "Could not send invitation. ...." message when I press the "Invite" button. The colleagues I wanted to invite are visible in the "Collaborators" overview but they never received any email invite. I also tried to invite my personal gmail-account - same result ....

how do i get a shaded grey box to go behind certain areas of my flow chart? like if I wanted to take a section of my flow chart how do I add a shaded background around that section without it going over the actual flow chart? hope it makes sense? maybe it can be shown to me via loom video or something? thanks

I'm interested in making a radar graph with 5 lines radiating from the center like a star. I would like to graph a score on each of the 5 radial lines from 1-10 and then connect them with a line. This will help show areas of greatest weakness in a company. Any tips on how to make the 5 lines radiating from the center and mark them with numbers from 1-10? Any help would be greatly appreciated. 

Hi there I've been working on a chart for two days now and one of the most used features was to duplicate an object and then change the content. As of today I cannot do that LC thinks I was accessing a premium feature. How can I go back to the old funcionality? I'm using a free account and the phenomenon appears both in Chrome and in the Android App. Thanks in Advance

Hi  I would like to create a timeline for a whole day. But hour minutes  and secound are greayd out. I can select dates weeks +++ Is there anything I do wrong or is it not meant to be used like this?

Hi  How to set transparency on drawing objects in Lucidspark ?   I'm trying to set transparency of a circle object to 20% on LucidSpark however having difficulty.   I can see this looks possible as when I try bring in a Venn Diagram from the template it has transparency enabled.      Thanks   Ananta

I can see the chart on the screen but when I click print it just defaults to a blank page on preview and when I print. I have several other charts that all print fine but this one just comes up blank. It has been done from scratch on lucidchart. When I try to export as pdf it comes up blank too. Have I enabled or disabled something?

Hi    The advanced shape and table bar are not appearing when I click on the object. It only appears in the right hand side contextual side panel. Any ideas please as it is so inefficient and driving me loopy?    Thanks
