I am a teacher and I would like to be able to create a Lucid Chart and have the students access it using a link. The document would open in View Only but be able to save a copy that they could then edit. It would be like a template function. Is this possible?

Connect Lines and Drawing Isometrics

I am creating a drawing and hitting a few bumps. 1. How can I connect lines? In what I have attached the lines connecting to equipment are not fully connected / sharp. Also the orange box in the front of the server. How can I connect them? 2. Is there a way download or edit text so that it can look flat on the orange box isometric text? I can rotate the text but unable to make it flat. The last image is similar to drawings I have produced in the past. 3. The green box is rotate 30 degrees but does not work for what I am looking to created. If there are any packages I will require to download and upload to the system could you please provide them. Thank you.

Downloading Lucidchart document to computer

I am doing an individual trial of Lucidchart in an attempt to try it out for our company. I have also reviewed Visio. In the same way that one can download a Visio diagram as a visio file type and save on the hard drive is there the ability to download a Lucidchart diagram as a Lucidchart file type? The benefit of this I'm thinking would be to provide extra back up or in the event someone leaves the company without "Sharing" a particular diagram with others it would be able to accessed and wouldn't have to be recreated. In addition if we were to stay with an individual license instead of a Team this would enable one to manage their own versioning by downloading and saving different versions of a diagram (revisions/versioning only available with Team or greater license I believe).

Common format for Lucidchart export and import

What is the recommended format for export into a file system so that the diagram can be further edited safely stored in external source control systems (like SVN server) and then optionally re-uploaded to lucid chart for editing later? Would the visio format be the best way to do this? Thanks

Timelines with Azure DevOps Cards?

Can the time fields from cards imported from Azure Devops be used to size/place the card on a timeline or roadmap? Or are the time fields (e.g. start date target date) ignored by Lucid? Would we have to manually reshape/place the card on the timeline or roadmap and find the dates in Lucid are not linked to the dates in Azure Devops?

Cant move arrows

I cant believe Lucid doesnt have such a basic functionality like moving of arrow. I inserted picture to Lucid project than I inserter arrow into picture which I want use as attention mark of some section in picture but cant find any way how to move or rotate that arrow. If I select arrow (and cursor change to cross with arrows indicate movement) when I try to drag and move that arrow it moves whole picture arrow is in. There is not any way how to move/rotate not connected arrow?

I'm working on some rather detailed electrical schematics for an automotive project. Dealing both with low voltage and high voltage. Is there any way to create a multicolor line ie Green/yellow Blue/white Red/blue etc?

Lucidchart Org Chart owner only one able to Refresh Dataset

Hello My company uses Lucidchart and links data from google sheets. We have an Org chart where only the owner of the chart is able to Refresh the Dataset. Previously other editors on the chart were able to refresh it. The chart owner says that he did not make any changes to the sharing settings of the chart. Is there a reason why the editors are now unable to refresh it or is there a setting that the owner can change to allow this? Thanks

How do you change the style of added multiplicities in a UML diagram?

Hi my team and i have been working in a joint document in lucid and somehow the style f multiplicities have changed. there is now a circle around it and we cannot find out how to change it back. In the first picture you can see how it looks in our joint document. In the second picture I have copied it into on of my own documents and drawn new lines. I tried copying it back to the joint document but when you make new lines and add the multiplicities it also comes with the circles around them.

Alias database table in ERD

Hi When building large ERDs for databases with multiple modules you inevitably end up having the same entity across multiple tabs(modules) of the ERD. This creates a headache when changes happen during projects. Ideally you would define the attributes for an entity once only and then just use "alias" instances across the ERD. If a change to the list of attributes or a data type was necessary you would need to change that just once and all the alias tables would reflect that change automatically. I was searching for such feature but didn't find anything. I am guessing that it is touch luck but I thought I would ask the experts just in case. Cheers

Canvas Navigation

How can I lock the auto navigation on the canvas. It is really annoying for the view to move around every time I try to use the menus. Impossible to work this way. Please help this didn't use to be this way.

Having trouble with accent marks in Lucid? -- we've got you covered. Here's how to make sure Lucid is speaking your language. 🗣️ There are a few ways to add accent marks while using our products. The offerings will differ based on the operating system (OS) you are using. Mac 🧑🏽‍💻 Enter characters with accent marks by pressing and holding a letter key on the keyboard. For example when you press down on the letter “a” an accent menu will appear in the bottom left corner of the screen. Select the desired character or press the corresponding number key. Note: This will only work if the letter you are holding down has potential accent marks to be added. Alternatively you can also set up your Mac to write in another language. tooltip when hovering on an shape

Hi I am trying to display some information when someone hovers their mouse over the shape. I see there is add notes but that isn't a good customer experience for them to click and view the message as I have lot of shapes which need to have tooltip
