Is it possible to create sections or folders in a custom shape library?

I want to create a shape library with hundreds of shapes. It would be useful to organize them in a similar manner to the standard libraries with folders/sections that the user can enable/disable and with captions that describe their section's contents. Can we do this with custom shape libraries?

Change auto layout to Hiararcy as default?

Hello,I am trying to do the following. I have a flowchart created in Simple MInd app. I am exporting it to a TXT file. Than importing it into Lucid chart. I want to auto layout when I make changes to the imported flowchart. Each time I do, it is auto layouting to grid. I want it to autolayout to a cascading/tree style, like Hierarcy. How do I change the default auto layout to Hierarcy,?

ChatGPT Integration does not appear to support editing diagrams currently

I have followed the instructions for using the ChatGPT integration, however the chatgpt never outputs an “Edit Flowchart in Lucid” link. The link it does provide results in a downloaded png file.If I open up the Lucid ChatGPT plugin output and use the “editLink” instead of the png “imageLink”, it does go to the Lucid app but either reports an error or displays a blank LucidChart page.Does the Lucid ChatGPT plugin need updating because of recent ChatGPT functionality changes?

Hallo, ich habe einen Wertstromanalyse Modelliert und muss sie dringend in Meine Masterarbeit reinkopieren. Nur wird die Abbildung egal als PDF,JPEG,PNG usw. unscharf. Wie kann ich die Abbildung verkleinern das sie auf die Word Datei zugeschnitten ist? Diverse Optionen des Zuschneidens wurde bereits ausprobiert.

Issue selecting object with wacom

Hi! I'm new to Lucidchart and I'm using a wacom and everytime I try to click + drag and object the entire page gets dragged (panned). If I want to move any object I have to first click it to select it then drag it to move it. I've manage to reset this behaviour sometimes by force reloading the tab but after interacting with a few objetc it would default back to the page-dragging behaviour. This doesn't happen if I use the computer's pad nor I found any setting that controls this either on Lucidchart not the wacom. Any ideas would be appreciated!

Org Chart - set the ordering of employees to not use alphabetical

Hi,I have a sample org chart as per the below. What I would like to see is that Senior job titles are further up the ladder than the non senior roles. right now under each header it's sorted alphabetically by default. sorting manually isn't viable. (non senior roles don't report to a senior also). So below Tim and Zack should be at the top. Is there an additional field I can add to make this happen and have the chart order by this field? Thanks for your help

Lines behaving irrationally - unable to make the angles I want.

Hi team, I’m facing an issue where my lines are being forced to certain angles or in certain directions when I’m trying to make a minor adjustment. All I’m trying to do is add a few right angles and the application refuses to do it in one direction, when curving the line in the other direction seems to work just fine.I’m super confused as to why this is, and I took a recording of my issue to show what I mean but it looks like I’m not able to attach it.Why am I also not able to just open a support ticket? Opening a community discussion instead of a support topic makes it feel like Lucid is expecting community members to do support for Lucid, for free. Can I just open a support ticket instead?

Re-create a diagram from an image or PDF using layers 🏗️Lucid advice

Have an image of a flowchart or diagram that you’d like to edit in Lucidchart? While Lucidchart doesn’t have a way to turn image files or PDFs into editable diagrams, you can use Lucidchart’s layers feature to trace on top of the image—creating a new, editable version.First, create two layers: one for the original image file, and one where you will trace the new content.On the layer for the original image, insert your file into Lucidchart:Open the Insert menu. Click Image. Select Image even if your file is a PDF. On the other layer, begin re-creating the diagram by dragging shapes on top of the image:Once you are finished, remove the original layer, and you will be left with an editable diagram!Let us know in the comments if you have used this method successfully, or if you have any other suggestions for turning an image into an editable diagram!

Unable to link Lucidchart workflow documents to one another

I am trying to link several workflow documents together, but the connection cannot be made.  I am guessing that there may be some functionality attached to subscription levels but there is no indication that this is the case.  I have tried layering but this is problematic for workflows that are still developing or evolving.Any insight would be great.

Ability to link to another flowchart

I really like the hotspot linking capability to point to another page/canvas in my document or to an external link or email. What I really wish it could also do is link to another Lucidchart document. In my case I'd love for one workflow to be able to point to another commonly used sub flow. Any chance that capability is in the works?

Export diagram from one Lucid account to another

A customer shared access to a lucidchart document from their account containing different diagrams in several tabs. I am trying to export a copy of the document and upload it on our lucid account. I do not want to work on the customer’s original version, nor share it with other users. I need to create a copy and save it on our lucid account to make edits. I do not see options under Export to download it as lucidchart diagram or to import the document in our lucid account. If I export it as Vision, I am afraid I would need to rework the diagrams, which is not efficient. What’s the best option here?

Activity Diagram node no longer allow lines to be drawn

The UML State/Activity Diagram components seem to have change and now you no longer get the "red dot" that allows you to draw lines.  This makes quickly drawing out an activity such a PITA.Impacted components:- Start- End- Branch/Merge- Final FlowI've been a paying lucid charts user for almost 10 years now and pretty disappointed to see how this software has suffered from the "Microsoft Word Syndrome" (where software for simple use cases continues to add more and more features at the sake of usability).

Exporting Shape Data to csv - Not All Text in Shape is Displayed

As per the title. I’m exporting shape data to csv, within each shape is text.However, only the first line of text is being displayed in the output.e.g. Shape in chart has first line 1.11, 2nd line blah blah blah‘blah blah blah’ is not rendering in the output, only 1.11 How do I obtain all text within the shape?

AI Prompt Flow: Failed to get response from custom endpoint

Hey there, gone through the “How to” documentation for configuring AI Prompt Flow in Lucid Charts 5 times now. No matter what I configure when Executing a prompt, I only get “Failed to get response from custom endpoint” Any insight or ideas of where this could be going wrong? Example Photo of config/Prompt below.  “AI Prompt Flow” integration on Lucid’s side is both “Connected for my Account” and “Connected for me”   Endpoint URL: https://api.openai.com/v1/chat/completions   Tried many model types (4 and 3.5 alike, found under the provided compatibility list for “chat completions”)   Generated and test multiple API keys, confirmed they were “used/called on” on Open AI’s side    Open AI is a paid subscription with access to model 4 Logged in via “incognito” window in chrome    What am I getting wrong here? Do I need to be logged into OpenAI at the same time? Do I need to approve the API connection somewhere? Any an all help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Solo me surgió una cuestión ¿A la hora de a hacer el organigrama los participantes se ligan a los diagramas? es decir, En el organigrama en el área de Ventas se tiene como participantes al Ejecutivo de Ventas, ese participante se puede ligar automáticamente o manualmente a los diagramas donde participe el Ejecutivo? ¿o no se cuenta con esa función?

I have created a Folder under my Documents.I shared this Folder with my Team of 10 people. (Permission level: View & Edit)If I move a Lucidchart “LC” into this folder, will all 10 people of my Team have access to the Lucidchart LC?If yes, then what level of access would they have? - View only? Sharing with External Clients

Hello,  We have a company lucid chart account, we store maps for each of our clients. We want our (external) clients to be able to access and edit their maps with a free account ideally. When we share it directly with them with edit access, they get a “You are out of shapes” prompt. Is this possible to accomplish? Do I need a specific plan?
