I am seeing an error when clicking on DM in Google Chat that shows Lucid. Is this a new issue, a known issue? We just want to confirm that there is nothing on our end that may be causing problems with Lucid.

Hi @Andy Bayliss, Thank you for contacting us about our upcoming Google Chat integration with the existing Lucidchart Add-on. A configuration issue in Google’s pre-production environment prompted a few users to receive a message from the add-on before its official release.

Rest assured, the Google Chat integration is not active and does not have access to any of your data. When we do release the Google Chat integration, we’ll provide more information on the Google Chat + Lucid integration and how to configure it.

Within hours of discovering the issue, Google rolled out a fix. Some users may still notice a direct message with Lucid in Google Chat, which now indicates that the app has been disabled. Your users can continue to use the existing Lucid Add-on in Google Workspace as they normally have.

We’re sorry for any confusion this may have caused and appreciate your understanding. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

@Andy Bayliss This is the first time I’ve seen a post about Lucidchart in Google Chat, so I’m going to direct this to someone on the Lucid team who can help you: @Abby S @Kelsey Gaag @Addie H @Addie @Amelia W @Mj Z @Ambar D

Is there a way for the organization to remove Lucid from Google Chat?  The disabled message is causing confusion.

Hi @bkskidmore unfortunately not--users that already have these messages from the add-on will continue to see the ones already sent, but they will not receive any additional messages from the Lucid add-on in Google Chat.

What about those that got this and do not have the add-on installed?

@H Alan unfortunately some users will see this message regardless of if the Lucid for Google Chat integration was installed. Thanks for your question and sorry again for the inconvenience.
