How to use custom shape in Org Charts

How can I select a shape from one of the shape libraries to be used as the box shape in my Org Charts.  For example I want to use a hexagon shape instead of the default options of a rectangle. Thus far the only option I've figured out is to select option of no shape and manually position a hexagon shape for each person in the org chart.  That doesn't scale and virtually makes it impossible to make any dynamic changes that Lucidchart normally performs.

Exporting Lucidchart Slides to PNG PDF or PPT

I'm trying to export a set of slides based on a single drawing with many layers. I don't have the option to export to google slides (policy reasons) so I need to export to any other format. Is there an easy way to do this other than screen grabbing each slide? Thanks Seán

HelloAs an example I added Visio screenshots. I want to fill the Hyperlinks screen with Address Subaddress and Description. Where can I do that in Lucichard? In Visio you can find dir right click with the mouse on the shape (Te158).Thamks

Moving from one tab to another

How do I move an individual box from one tab to another.  The org chart comes out by 'department' but I want to adjust by manager. I tried to drag and drop and copy and paste but neither worked. Thank you

Updating main fishbone chart

Hi  Is there a way to automatically update the main fishbone chart when I enter data on one of the sub tabs? What's happening is that I update the information on each of the subcharts/tabs but the data doesn't change on the main chart it's still showing the default chart text. Thanks.

Can't add layers using free account

I'm trying to move diagrams to layers in a created document after having done the same in other created documents and am receiving the upgrade notice. But if I moved other documents to trash then they are no longer active and I am below the 3 document limit. Because I have worked on other documents recently is this why I am getting the upgrade notice when trying to create new layers and move shapes to those layers? And do layers count towards the 60 object limit?

Passing "row position" in Google Sheet from one shape to another

Hi there I have 20 triangle shapes in a Lucidchart linked to a Google Sheet. Each triangle shape is linked to a row. Each triangle shape shows column A of that row as text. When I click any triangle shape I want to show in a rectangle shape (which would be the 21 shape in the document) the information in columns B C D and E of that row that is linked to the triangle shape that has been clicked on. Is it possible? Thank you in advance for your help.

Cannot play video in published link

I am able to play me embedded youtube video when I press present under my account. However when I publish the page and share the page to others with 'view only' rights they cannot play the video when presenting. How do I allow them to present and play embedded videos when I do not want to give them editing rights?

Unable to resize canvas in Lucidchart document

Hi    I am currently unable to resize my canvas on one specific Lucidchart diagram but I can't understand what is different about this one as I have used the same template for many others and I do not have the same issue with them.  As a result the canvas is huge and I cannot scale it down by resizing the canvas.  Using the "fit to page" option changes too much and I prefer having the size of font which I have selected.     Can you help please???     Thanks.

Backup/Restore a Single Document

Hello! I have multiple documents in my account but I'd like to *only* backup/restore one of them to a different account. I tried to transfer via backup/restore as described in the Transfer Files page but that backs up all of my documents as a single file rather than each document individually. I also tried syncing my data to Google Drive via the Lucidchart in Google Drive page. That option syncs my files individually BUT doesn't give me any access to download them share them etc. What are my options to backup a single file for transfer to a different account?

Stop others from receiving notifications

Hi I have shared a diagram with other people and now when I add a comment it is sending notifications to the people I have shared it with.  Is there a away I can stop this or do they need to do it themselves? Thanks

Storage Limits

Hello             For a Professional/Team Subscription the storage size of 1 GB is sufficient in most cases. What happens when the 1GB storage gets exhausted? Is there a way to increase the limit beyond 1GB? If yes what would be the pricing For customers with Google Drive Integration or similar and who has more than 1 GB capacity can the same be used as an augmented storage if the 1GB ever runs out? UI component does not snap to Master Page's element (iPad template)

When I use the iPad template I can easily add more UI controls that snap and adjust to the the placed iOS device. But when I move the iOS device shape to my Master Page because I want to reuse the base objects I am not able to place a UI control on a page that uses the Master Page as the UI component does not snap and adjust its size anymore according to the already displayed iOS device. Am I following a wrong approach or is Lucidchart missing this feature? How to use a iOS device template with the Master Page feature?

Mindmapping- how do I get child idea to move to different parent node

On the mindmap template how can I move an idea to a different parent node? When I currently try it simply moves the shape and the line. Standard mindmapping tools allow you to hover the shape over a different parent node and for this shape then to be auto-moved so it is now associated with a new parent.  Thanks

Drawing irregular shapes in Lucidchart

Is there any way to draw irregular shapes? I'm using Lucid Chart to map my garden plot though need to draw perimeter and buildings - currently this is a painstaking exercise to connect lots of individual lines - is there a way these could be connected?

Hello I'm new user with the application... so I don't know all of course. I work on Mac and I've many files .vsd and with some files with contains many sheets as it's possible with Visio as in Excel for example. No integrations for single users?

I'm a individual user of Lucid chart and so far I like it. I'm just now looking to build an org chart to help me with some planning and it seems my Pro version doesn't allow me to integrate with Google sheets? To do so I'm being asked to upgrade from $10p/m to $23p/m that is ironically $8pp p/m...? Is there a reasonable option for a single user to get this feature?   Thanks Andrew
