In lucid.app, I have been added as a Collaborator to a folder. That folder has a series of subfolders. When I check information (the (i) symbol) on a subfolder, I see that “Collaborators” has no values associated with it. Does this mean the subfolders only have inherited permissions from its parents, or that no one has access to the folders?

(I can duplicate files in the subfolders, but I cannot move them outside the folder. When I try, I get the error in the subject line.)

Basically I’m unclear how I get full access to this folder, since I appear to, but don’t.

Hi @paulmoloney

Lucidchart's folder permissions are easy to understand, may not at the early stages especially when it comes to subfolders. By default, subfolders inherit permissions from their parent folder, which may limit your access. To ensure full control over a folder and its subfolders, verify your permissions using the following steps:

First, check the parent folder's permissions to confirm you have "Edit and Share" access, allowing management of documents and subfolders. If you lack these permissions, request changes from the folder owner or an administrator. They can update your access level in the folder settings.

Next, double-check subfolder permissions, as specific restrictions may override inherited settings. Review each subfolder's permissions settings to confirm
