Hello, our org was wondering if it’s possible to grant user roles by adding their O365 account to a group associated with the Lucid app set up in our tenant. We’d like to grant users access and roles right from Entra when we add them to a group.

Hi @Julio Miranda

You can try assign users as group admins and grant them specific capabilities related to license management, user profiles, and handling license requests from limited-access users

More help can be referred here:

https://www.lucidchart.com/pages/enterprise/group-management

The actual role assignments happen within Microsoft 365, and Lucid leverages these assignments to determine user access and capabilities

Hope this helps - Happy to help further!!
Thank you very much and have a great one!

Warm regards

I’m not sure you understand, sorry! My post is a bit confusing.

What I’d like to do is create security groups in our tenant, for Lucid, which I have done. I’m wondering if there’s a way I can manage which roles a user gets in Lucid when we provide access from O365. Or do you think we would have to manage Lucid roles manually once someone is provided access?

Hi Julio,

Entra/Azure lets you configure Admin Consent Flows that will allow you to select groups that can approve consent for applications accessing O365 resources. Not exactly what you are looking for, but I think it could work the same. Otherwise, we would recommend setting up a SAML connection and assigning your security groups to that connection.
