Embedding Lucidchart drawing in Notion

Anyone else having trouble to embed a luicidchart drawing in Notion.so? Whenever I paste the embed code from lucidchart Notion only generates a plain link. Using the embed code from Draw.io however just works fine. This drives me crazy! Any ideas?

We’re happy to announce that there is a new integration to embed your Lucidchart documents and Lucidspark boards directly into Notion. Check out our Integrate Notion with Lucidchart and Lucidspark article in the help center for step-by-step instructions to use this integration and check out this community post to share your excitement with other users.

Hi Marc

Thanks for posting in our Community! Unfortunately Lucidchart does't directly support an integration with Notion to embed documents. As a workaround I would recommend trying to embed a published link to a PDF of your Lucidchart document. To do that please follow these steps:

  • From your Lucidchart account navigate to "File"
  • Select "Publish" from the drop-down menu
  • Select "Full Document (PDF)" publishing type options
  • Copy the generated published link

Then from Notion select the + sign to add a new block > under the "Embed" options select "Embed - For PDF ... more" > paste the published link under the "Embed link" field.

Alternatively you can also export your Lucidchart document to a PDF file and then embed the resulting file into Notion. To export your Lucidchart document to PDF navigate to File > Export > PDF.  Then from Notion select the + sign to add a new block > under the "Embed" options select PDF > upload the Lucidchart exported PDF file.

Thanks guys for this feedback! I really appreciate that you suggested a workaround instead of simple "we don't support it". Workaround is actually not that bad although I agree directly embedding it would be way more elegant. Continuous file update works just tested it.

Thumbs up for the support!
