Hello,

I created a team folder for my group.  I only wanted three people in my group to have edit and share access to all documents in the team folder.  The other group members, I wanted them to have view only access to all the documents.  I figured out how to accomplish this.  I am now trying to figure out a way for the group members to have view only access to all documents, but with the ability to edit and share documents that they authored or collaborated on in the team folder.

If a group member copies and pastes a document from their personal documents into the team folder, I would like that document to retain the collaborators from the personal document space rather than changing the permissions on the document to the permissions in the team folder.  Is there anyway to accomplish this?

Hi @Toni

Unfortunately, any content in a Team Folder automatically inherit the permissions set at the Team Folder level. I would suggest sharing documents on a group or individual level with appropriate permissions for that group, rather than adding it to a folder!
