Customizing custom shapes with display name

I am unable to add a display name to a custom shape, so it shows the shape and a name like other elements in Lucid. How can I achieve that?

Pasting shapes doesn't keep arrangement order - resulting is shapes appearing underneath others unexpectedly.

When I copy and paste a shape, I noticed that the shape goes underneath previously added shapes that were sent to back. This is very frustrating because you would think the pasted shape would have the same (or next-to) arrangement order as the shape you copied from, however this is not the case. Even if the shape copied is “Sent to Top” the pasted shape still sets itself to appear below shapes lower on the order than the copied shape.

Error importing schema on DBMS ER

Refuse a Shared Document

I’m part of a group where there are a lot of documents shared with that group. Problem is, I’m a system admin and 99% of the documents that are shared to the group have nothing to do with me because they’re users. Can I refuse shared documents? Can I take myself off the list of certain shared documents so I no longer see them?

Mermaid Image Generation to Visio doesnt Work

So I’m trying to generate images using Mermaid.js as DAC and then export it to a VISIO file, but when I open the visio file which was exported it is blank as the pic given. (Note: I’m using Libre Office Draw to view the visio file which should be capable of doing it)This happened for all types of diagram generation.

google sheet data linking and updating diagram.

I have a diagram that display Datacenter layout, Cage, Rack and each rack , which in my case is 42 Unit. and i have googlesheet with my inventory , which also have pretty much the same information( Cage name, Rack name and Unit no(1-42). I am able to link lucid chart to googlesheet and also link the each server that belongs to each rack/Unit. But this is manual and very tedious. I am looking for automation , where the lucid chart should be smart enough to find what are the servers that’s in the googlesheet, and update/modify/add the charts with the cage/ rack and unit information on its own.

Cannot reorder formula icons in LucidChart

Cannot reorder formula icons in LucidChart. So, I made icons to count how many tickets are in a frame and to sum up the story points. I want them to appear in the same (top left) location, one after the other. Always the newest icon (2) appears first (before 1). It looks like I should be able to change the order with the drag and drop in the wand dialog but it never works. (2)(1)

What can I do with my Lucid Scale explorer license?

Hi Team, I recently have got access to Lucid scale with an explorer license and all I could do is to just watch the screen and the resources other created. I literally have nothing to do. Is there anything that I can do productive with the explorer license. I agree there are lot of options with the higher license , but with this explorer license what else can I do on my own and add value? Please explain Thanks Vasanth Shanmugam

Lucidchart integration with JIRA cloud

I installed the Lucidchart connector in JIRA and i see the integration is connected. I attach a Lucidchart in a ticket.When I ty to acces to a Lucidchart diagram in JIRA, the attachement is not recognize as a Lucidchart.I can’t view, open or edit the Lucidchart in JIRA. Someone have already seen this problem?

Expire Document Status

We do documentation reviews once a year. Is there a way to expire the “Approved” Status back to “In Review”. This would be very useful, especially since you cant use the API for this purpose.

Drawings to depict JSON-to-JSON mapping

I need to depict complex JSON transformations, so that we can track specific fields as they move from UI to API call to backend service to database. It’s almost a sequence diagram, but what I really need to represent is how data flows from one layer to another through differently shaped payloads. One of my concerns is the complexity of the JSONs and how deeply nested some structures are. Are there any examples, templates, or articles that discuss how to do this? I am barely experienced with Lucid, so any advice would be appreciated. For example, is it possible to expand and collapse portions of the JSON? Can connectors be drawn from field to field, so that they stay connected during the development of the diagram? Are there tools better suited to this use case?

Hide fields in an ERD when importing from SQL Server.

I have a somewhat complex database I’ve imported and I’m looking for ways to create a simpler view for a non-technical user to begin from. Is there a way to hide the fields when importing or after importing? Or do I have to manually adjust every entity? I found this post but it’s in relation to salesforce and I don’t see an option to not show fields in the SQL import. Hide fields in ERD | Community (lucid.co)

Lucid to Visio Export not working as expected

Hello There.. ! I have weird behaviour to ask here. We have imported our Visio templates in Lucid chart and exported them back as “.vsdx” extensions. We use these visio templates on our web app to show real time data on Visio templates. Everything was well when we verified this import / export of Lucid to Visio untill 14th June. Once Visio software was pulled back, our visio exports from Lucid stopped opening in browser with real time data. It gives error as Microsoft Visio Viewer not able to complete this operation. Can someone advise here ? It’s kind of urgent.

Support Conditional Formatting by Tab

Currently conditional formatting is universal across a document. But sometimes you want to show data one way on one tab, and another way on another tab. Think current & future states. On current state I might want to show a “sunset” application as yellow. On future state I might want to show it as red. But currently this is impossible since you cannot set the formatting specific to separate tabs.

Auto cleanup and straighten ERD lines

As the first hire on the data team, I’m modeling from scratch our business entities and relationships in order to create an ERD. After reviewing my first draft with the application team and making changes, lines are bent all over the place. Is there a way to have Lucid simply redraw lines with the fewest right angles (ie., straight lines). It is VERY tedious to manually do this. Any suggestions are much appreciated.
