Additional Shape Data in CSV export

Related products:Lucidchart

Hi,

I need additional shape data in the CSV export, such as shape position, shape size and background color. Is there any possibility to add additional information to the CSV export?

Thanks for any help!

Exporting additional shape data such as position, size, and background color directly to a CSV file is not going to work.

KIndly try Exporting to SVG or PDF

I would also like to add additional data. I’m trying to draw an organization network map showing how teams are connected to each other based on project work. Here’s what I’d like to be able to specify. So the Shapes are teams and the Lines are projects.

Color per shape

Size per shape - In my use case, I want to adjust shape size based on number of connections

Weight of Line - In my use case, I want to adjust the line weight based on the magnitude of the connection.

The other thing I think I want is to specify a layer for each item in the list. I’m trying to make an interactive diagram, so I could create buttons that would show various layers. If I could have those buttons auto created from the data, that would be great as well. One trick is an item could be in multiple layers. The use case is that I want to offer a menu of projects or groups of projects - these could be buttons - to show all relevant teams and projects.

@janesherman this sounds like a neat diagram. If you’re looking to level up your diagram using Lucid’s APIs, you may find this to be an excellent use case for our New JSON Import functionality within our Standard Import API.

While using our APIs, please visit the Lucid for Developers Community if you have any questions!
