I need to be able to invite clients to collaborate on diagrams. How can I do that?

I thought I could invite clients to collaborate using the "Invite" link. I see they need to create an account but some of the clients are telling me they can't edit the document with a free account and are being asked to create a paid account. What do you suggest?

Hi Christian thanks for posting in the Lucidchart Community! Free accounts fall under specific restrictions (e.g. max number of 60 shapes per document no access to premium shape libraries no access to comments). You can find a full comparison between the different account types in the Account Types Help Center article Account Types. If a user from a higher account level shares a document with them that meets one of these restrictions the free user will have view-only access to this document and it is not possible to grant them edit access.

If you want more information of what options there are around upgrading your or your clients accounts I would recommend reaching out to our sales team via this contact form.
