How to increase visibility of org chart lines and shapes in Lucid

Forum|alt.badge.img+1

While working with my Org Chart, sometimes the reporting lines and shape borders are clearly dark and visible, at other times they are barely visible at all.  No changed settings. No clear relationship to any action I am taking.

How do I get the lines and borders to remain dark and visible?

Hi @whamaliuk, thank you for giving that a try and sharing more information. To confirm, are you seeing the following behaviour when hovering over a conditional formatting rule? (see GIF):

If so, that is expected behaviour and I would recommend adjusting the line width for your org chart if you’d like the lines/borders to be more visible. The default is 2px, you can adjust it to 5px if you’d like it to be similar to the highlighted version when hovering over a conditional formatting rule.

If that’s not the case for you, would you mind sharing the temporary Support PIN for this document? This will allow me to take a closer look at the issue you’re experiencing.

For more information on generating a Support PIN, check out this Help Center article. This Support PIN doesn’t allow anyone but Lucid Support to take a look at your document, so you are safe to post it here.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions, thank you!

Hi @whamaliuk, thank you for posting in the community! It sounds like your default style might be different to some of the employee shapes you have in your org chart.

To change the default style, select a single org chart shape and click Set current as default under the "Shape style" options to have all org chart shapes match the style of the one you selected.

Could you please give this a try and let us know if you see any changes? Thanks!

Hello, @Leianne C ,

Thank you for the suggestion.  I tried what you asked and there is no change in the presentation.  And it’s not just some of the shapes that are affected.  When the lines and borders are clearly visible, all the lines and borders are clearly visible.  Same for when they are barely visible (all lines and borders appear the same).

And @Leianne C and @aparrish ,

When I open the conditional formatting panel and hover over a formatting rule, all the lines and borders are clearly visible.  When I move my cursor back into the chart area, all lines and borders go dim again.

@whamaliuk This sounds like a bug. In that case, I recommend that you submit a ticket with the  Product Support team.

Thank you, @Leianne C,

The wider lines help with visibility especially when I have the grid turned on.  With the grid turned off (as per your GIF), the 2 px lines are more visible as well.  I’ll find some combo that works  :)

Cheers!
