Is there a way to open the data source (e.g. google sheet) from within LucidChart? I am trying to look at the source data that another team member linked and want to do so in a full view of google sheets without searching for the sheet. Given that the data is linked through a URL I'd think it is possible but I can't figure it out.

Hi Montana

Thanks for reaching out to the community!

You can import data sets from Google Sheets Excel spreadsheets and CSVs into Lucidchart and use them to create powerful data-driven visualizations! This data linking Help Center article will walk you through the process.

Thank you Emma B. However the data is already linked by another user. This article doesn't seem to outline how a new user can open the original google file that another user used. I have to manually search google files for the name of this file -- there doesn't seem to be an easy way to open it from the data linking view in LC. Is there a way to do this?

Hi Montana

It is possible for two users (collaborators on the same Google Sheet) to link this same sheet to Lucidchart in each of their accounts. However there is currently not a way to search Lucidchart for data that another user has already linked. However would you mind adding your idea to our Feature Request form? Ideas submitted to this form are passed on to the product development team for their consideration. As a growing company we take our feature requests very seriously. We are continuously looking for how we can make our product more useful and effective for our users and we pass that information directly to our product development team.

Thank you Emma B. I submitted in the Feature Request form!
