Create sub swimlanes in Lucidchart

Hello

I am trying to group swim lanes - for examples I am doing a swim lane diagram for the development of educational sessions. I have three types of committee members that participate two types of staff and two types of content providers. I would like to group these into three swim lanes with sub lanes for each. I added a text box at the left of the groupings to show the high level grouping - e.g. Committee - but it looks clunky. Is there a cleaner way of doing this? Alternatively maybe I can split up one swim lane with additional lines.

Any advice is welcome.

Thanks.

Hi Jackie

Thanks for your post. While you can't put swim lanes on top of other swim lanes there are a few options to achieve the functionality you want:

1. You can put other containers over your swim lanes. This will partition your lanes even further.

2. You can use horizontal swim lanes on top of vertical swim lanes as this can help with multiple parameters.

3. You can create lines on your document to segment the content.
