Are all of these permissions (requested when installing the Lucidchart app in Google Drive) really necessary? E.g. being able to view info for all of my domain’s users?

The integration was designed to be used in tandem with Google Workspace, Google Calendar, Docs, Sheets, and Slides, which is why the corresponding permissions are being requested when installing the Lucidchart app. They are all the scopes needed to make use of all these integrations.

I understand many of the requested permissions, but am hung up on the one that requires access to the entire directory -- for privacy reasons. Thanks.

The permission that pertain specifically to user details within the domain is due to the capability of the Google Workspace which can be used to directly provision users directly from the Google Workspace. Because the integration was designed to be used with all those integrations, you will see those scopes which is what is needed for all the integrations.
