I have been using Lucidchart for 3 days.  I want to mark a group on a flowchart, copy the group to a new page, number the pages and then mark the group on the main flow chart referring to the page number.  That way, I can provide a flowchart with miniscule writing and attach and print pages with legible print.  Is there a guide for all of the steps of numbering the pages, copyin by group and marking the groups on the flowchart?  Thx.

Hi @nnusholtz,

Thank you for posting in the Lucid Community, and welcome to Lucidchart!

Using Print by Page Tiles is a great feature to print a large document without compromising the readability of the Chart. Please check out this Lucid Community Post on printing large documents using Page Tiles. It walks you through step-by-step how to set up page tiles. It sounds like this would be the best option for your use case!

I hope this helps! Please feel free to respond in this thread if you have questions!

tHX.   So, I tied it and I expect to see lines I can adjust to be separate pages or tiles.  I see dotted lines and other lines(below), but nothing I can shape or move.  What am I missing?

Hi @Nusholtz, thanks for providing that example, jumping in here to help too!

It does indeed appear that you’ve successfully turned on page tiling based on the dotted lines from your screenshot as you mentioned.

Now I recommend you adjust the sizing using the content scale as shown below. Once you’ve arranged your objects in your desired spot, you can navigate to the print menu and select ‘Divide by Page Tiles’.

Is this what you’re hoping to achieve? Let us know if you have any questions!

Thx.  I’m almost there, I realize that I need to place the page sections of the flow chart into the dotted page spaces.  I am trying to do that with containers.  I watched the video on containers.   when I drag and drop a container, I expect to see a square I can size, but I get a little box and menu on the right that says”rectangle container.  My plan was to make “page” containers and move them to the tiles.   but I don’t know how to do that.
