Idea→Beta
Hi ,
I tried to coonect through link button, but no working.
Could I fix this problem?
Hi @KyraChen,
Are you logged into Lucid when clicking the link above? You can also go to lucid.app > Integrations > and search “Excel.”
I’ve been using the “Lucid Microsoft 365 Excel Integration [Beta]” for the past few weeks. It’s AWESOME!…. well, until it stops working.
Anyone else run into a problem where two-way syncing works just fine and then just dies? I’ve even tried “Replace the Dataset”, refreshing, etc. I’ve even deleted the dataset, replaced it and still refuses to work. It loads the data, but syncing is completely borked.
Thoughts?
Hi @Cameron G,
Could you try disconnecting and reconnecting the integration in the marketplace?
Thanks for your feedback, @Cameron G ! I’m the product manager with the team that brought this integration to market. If you’re willing, I’d love to know the details behind how and when it stops working. Maybe do some troubleshooting to see if we can’t figure out a fix. Thank you!
@jimmy - I sent you an email. Would love to chat when you have a minute!
Hi @Cameron G,
Could you try disconnecting and reconnecting the integration in the marketplace?
@Kelsey Gaag : I did try that but sadly that didn’t resolve the issue. Thanks for pitching in!
@Cameron G and I worked out a solution for his particular case
The issue: Excel’s “Format as Table ” action created a 2+ million row table that borked our document sync.
If this issue is affecting you, here’s an immediate fix in Cameron’s own words:
the moral of the story is: do NOT select all the columns and click “Format as Table”. And if you do, Edit > Clear Formats and then recreate the table.
Easiest Solution (provided you want to keep using the original Excel file):
Copy ONLY the data you want to keep into new Excel file
In original Excel file, select Edit > Clear > Formats
Copy and Paste ONLY data you want to keep from temporary Excel document back to original.
Save
Lucid: Replace Dataset
Party because it now works!
We’ve updated our sync capability to check for overly large tables at import, which will correct this bug.

I have the same issue
@KyraChen and @kraakwg , could you share any screenshots or descriptions of what happens when you click the link?
Do you not see the excel beta as an option during the data import process?
I’ve started using the Excel sync, for now it’s configured to pull changes only. All seems to be working well.
This is really amazing, it’s going to save so much time.
Not only does it make the data integration simpler, it also avoids the need to manage Excel files within Lucid. Storing the Excel files on SharePoint Online means I can version control the data. At some point, I’ll test restoring a previous version to see how that is handled.
Hi @David Wilson, thank you for your comment here! We’re very interested in your feedback and appreciate the time you took to let us know what you think about this. I’m happy to hear this is working well for you so far!
I’ve increased the use of this across approx 20 documents, each being used by multiple people from a small team of 6. Initially, it looked to be working as expected. Unfortunately, there are two issues.
The first is the sync stops working. Usually, clicking the sync buttons (Pull the latest data from Excel & Push local edits to Excel 365…) did work and synced changes in both directions. I confirmed that all users have setup the Integrations Marketplace.
The second issue is the sync settings not being honoured. I have one dataset that is configured as Pull changes, but updating the data in Lucid causes an update in Excel. On the positive side, the sync works very quickly. I tested updating the same cell in both Lucid and Excel and the sync did work as expected, using the timestamp to work out which was the latest update. I noticed that if I perform repeated changes of the same cells, the sync stops working and subsequent updates are not synced. Clicking the manual sync button updates correctly and appears to ‘restart’ the automatic sync.
This isn’t the case for all datasets, some work as expected, only pulling changes from Excel, but they do seem to be affected by multiple changes stopping the automatic sync.
Hi @David Wilson, thanks for chiming in!
Could you let us know whether these issues persist in a private or incognito window to help us narrow down the potential cause? Could you also try connecting to a different network or disconnecting from your VPN (if applicable)? Sometimes account performance issues can be related to internet security/speed or browser issues. These steps will help us eliminate that possibility. For help with opening an incognito window, please see this community post.
