@Cameron G  and I worked out a solution for his particular case

The issue: Excel’s “Format as Table ” action created a 2+ million row table that borked our document sync.

If this issue is affecting you, here’s an immediate fix in Cameron’s own words:

the moral of the story is: do NOT select all the columns and click “Format as Table”. And if you do, Edit > Clear Formats and then recreate the table.

Easiest Solution (provided you want to keep using the original Excel file):

  1. Copy ONLY the data you want to keep into new Excel file
  2. In original Excel file, select Edit > Clear > Formats
  3. Copy and Paste ONLY data you want to keep from temporary Excel document back to original.
  4. Save
  5. Lucid: Replace Dataset
  6. Party because it now works!

We’ve updated our sync capability to check for overly large tables at import, which will correct this bug.

Hi @KyraChen

Are you logged into Lucid when clicking the link above? You can also go to lucid.app > Integrations  > and search “Excel.”

I’ve been using the “Lucid Microsoft 365 Excel Integration [Beta]” for the past few weeks. It’s AWESOME!…. well, until it stops working.

Anyone else run into a problem where two-way syncing works just fine and then just dies? I’ve even tried “Replace the Dataset”, refreshing, etc. I’ve even deleted the dataset, replaced it and still refuses to work. It loads the data, but syncing is completely borked.

Thoughts?

Hi @Cameron G

Could you try disconnecting and reconnecting the integration in the marketplace?

Thanks for your feedback, @Cameron G !  I’m the product manager with the team that brought this integration to market. If you’re willing,  I’d love to know the details behind how and when it stops working.  Maybe do some troubleshooting to see if we can’t figure out a fix.  Thank you!

@Kelsey Gaag : I did try that but sadly that didn’t resolve the issue. Thanks for pitching in!
