Exporting CSV of Mind Map data that maintains sequential order of nodes

Hi,

I can see there isn’t any easy ways to export LucidSpark Intelligent Mind Maps so I was trying to export the shape data to CSV and then manipulate if from there. However, while the id and parent id are in the CSV, so I can rebuild the structure, I can’t see any way to determine the order of the nodes. The nodes seem to be written to the CSV either in a random order or perhaps the order they were created. The very nature of a mind map means that nodes are created out of order.

With 300+ nodes that have been placed in order in LucidSpark, I really don’t want to have to duplicate that effort into Excel.

Is there a way to export the shape file keeping the order of the nodes as shown on the screen?

Thanks,

Shawn

Hi Shawn, thanks for your post! Unfortunately, sequential ordering of shape data within a shape data CSV export like you described isn’t currently supported in Lucid, but we’re very interested in your feedback and committed to continually improving our products. If you’re willing to share, we’d love to hear more details about your use case or what you’d like to see in this experience within this thread. I’ve also converted this post to an idea so that it’s visible to others within the Product Feedback section of the community - from here, they can upvote it and add details of their own.
