Hello, I am an account admin in our LucidCharts environment.

 

I’m trying to grant access for a few people into a document, but am not able to figure out where to go for document/data management in the administrator portal.

 

Is anyone able to assist?

As an administrator, it's essential to understand your capabilities and limitations when it comes to managing documents within your organization.

  • By default, you don't have automatic access to all documents; instead, they must be explicitly shared with you or stored in Team Folders, which you can then manage.
  • However, Enterprise accounts offer enhanced features that provide greater administrative control. With Admin View, you can access any document on your account by appending "/adminView" to the document URL, provided you have the necessary permissions.

Moreover, Document Discovery enables Document Admins and Account Owners to search for and view all documents owned by users within the organization, allowing for easy management of document metadata and ownership transfers.

it can also depend on your level of admin rights.  

 


Thanks Astrid, I’m not seeing any of these options for myself, I’ll have to check with the PO of Lucid in my org.


Hi ​@Sam Bregar! Just chiming in here, the document admin role can only be granted by the Account Owner or an account admin with the document admin role. This is likely why you cannot see the options for your own user account.
