Within the last month I’ve been experience issues with the text shape when trying to edit text. Here are a few things that I’ve noticed.

Text doesn’t wrap - it just puts text over the top of itself. Screenshot:

Can’t select text - Ctrl + A to select all text doesn’t work anymore. Trying to select text by holding the Shift key and arrowing over doesn’t work anymore. If you try to edit text from having your cursor at the start of the text, it just types text over the top. You have to go to the end of the text and then use the back arrow to edit text properly.

Hello,

Thank you for posting in the Lucid community!

Could you try opening your board in a private or incognito window to help us narrow down the potential cause? Could you also try connecting to a different network or disconnecting from your VPN (if applicable)? Sometimes account performance issues can be related to internet security/speed or browser issues. These steps will help us eliminate that possibility. For help with opening an incognito window, please see this community post.

If those don’t resolve the problem, can you please send the following information so I can take a closer look?

  • A screenshot of the associated Javascript Console output after reproducing the issue. You can open your Javascript Console by pressing Ctrl+Shift+J (if your computer is a Windows/Linux) OR Cmd+Opt+J (if your computer is a Mac).

  • A document support pin

Thanks in advance for your help and patience!

Hi Kelsey.

I tried via an incognito window without VPN and have the same issue. Here is a screenshot of the Javascript console.

I’m unclear on the permissions with documenting a technical support pin. If I generate a pin and post it here, who all can access via that pin? I need to understand more about that before I provide a support pin.

Thanks!

Hi @lauren.cook

Thank you! Great question on the support pin, this is only accessible to the Lucid Support team. Other users will not be able to use it.

@Kelsey Gaag Thank you. Here is the support PIN: iuWEhoxyMVH8qV177103755

Hi @lauren.cook

Thank you for providing that support pin! It looks like this is related to your line height. If you go to text options and increase your line height, the text box should look normal!

@Kelsey Gaag Thank you! I’m not sure how I changed that setting but appreciate you helping me to resolve this issue.

@lauren.cook, no problem! Happy to help!
