Shapes no longer move in Lucid

Dragging and dropping of shapes only works about 20% of the time when using the mouse. Seems to be new to the latest update. Product is absolutely unusable at this point.

Thanks for responding to this post! 
First, I recommend trying the following steps. 

  • Could you try opening your board in a private or incognito window to help us narrow down the potential cause? For help with opening an incognito window, please see this community post.
  • Could you also try connecting to a different network or disconnecting from your VPN (if applicable)?

If those don’t resolve the problem, can you please send the following information so I can take a closer look?

  • A screenshot or screen-recording of the issue.
  • A screenshot of the associated Javascript Console output after reproducing the issue. You can open your Javascript Console by pressing Ctrl+Shift+J (if your computer is a Windows/Linux) OR Cmd+Opt+J (if your computer is a Mac).

I narrowed this down. The new reposition text feature breaks your ability to move icons without text somewhere around 80% of the time. The moment you add text to an icon, you can then move the icon again. 

 

This seems to be a bug due to the latest update.

Having same issue, all my shapes are not movable anymore.  Seems to be linked to the new text update for shapes.  I tested if I add text to a shape it is then able to be moved.

Hi Michelle,

 

Tried different network and incognito window still same behavior.  Is there an email I can attach the screen recording to, I dont see a way to attach it here.

It seems like after the text update that allows you to move the text around an object has changed where you can grab an icon if you scaled it down.  I noticed that if I add text to an object then I can grab anywhere on the shape again and it will let me move it.  But if I dont have any text associated with it then I need to scale the shape to be larger and I can move it again.  Something changed that when you scale an object to be smaller the points where you can click and grab with the mouse become extremely small and do not allow you to click to move it.
