Hi Lucid users -- if you are having trouble with Revision History there are a couple of things to take a look at:

  • Revision History is only available to certain subscription levels. If you receive a message saying you are unable to view it you will need to upgrade to access your revision history. If you upgrade your revision history will be available from the beginning of your documents. Refer to our Upgrade your Lucid account.
  • While making edits to your document Revision History will save a different version every few minutes.
  • Pressing “Restore” will restore that copy over your current copy. If you are wanting to keep your current copy you will want to press “New from version”.
  • While going back and forth between versions in your revision history it is possible that even the most recent version isn’t your current document. You have to exit revision history entirely to look at what your document looks like currently.
  • If you accidentally restored your document to a previous version but want to get back your most recent edits you can undo the restoration by simply going back to your revision history and selecting the latest version of your document prior to the restored current version.

Hope these help -- if you can't find the answer your looking for drop us a line here we would be happy to help!

I’m experiencing an issue with the Revision History feature. I noticed that the connector lines between process and decision boxes are no longer appearing straight. Instead of connecting directly to the shapes, the lines route downward and then back up before reaching the box.

When I attempt to restore a previous version from Revision History, many of those versions show the same issue. I did find one version where the connector lines appeared correct; however, after restoring it, the lines reverted to the incorrect routing. When I tried again, even the version that originally displayed the correct straight lines now shows the same downward-and-upward routing behavior.

“Show grid,” “Snap objects to grid,” and “Show guides” are all disabled. Screenshots are attached for reference. So far, this issue does not seem to affect my other process diagrams.

Hello @Bert,

Thank you for posting in the Lucid community!

First, I recommend trying the following steps. Sometimes account performance issues can be related to internet security/speed or browser issues. These steps will help us eliminate that possibility.

  • Could you try opening your board in a private or incognito window to help us narrow down the potential cause? For help with opening an incognito window, please see this community post.
  • Could you also try connecting to a different network or disconnecting from your VPN (if applicable)?
  • It’s possible that WebGL is causing an issue with your graphics card. Try turning WebGL off by going to View > Rendering > Use WebGL and unchecking the option.

If those don’t resolve the problem, can you please send a temporary Document Support PIN for this document? This will help me take a closer look at what’s going on. This PIN is safe to post in this thread because it is only accessible by members of the Lucid support staff. You can find steps for generating a Support PIN in this Lucid Help Center article: Generate a Lucid Support PIN.

Thanks in advance for your help and patience!

Hi @Bert

Thanks for sending that PIN!

  • How long after you used revision history to restore the document did the lines appear distorted again?
  • If you try re-straightening the lines manually, do they revert back to appearing distorted?
  • After restoring the document, can you also try duplicating your document and let me know if the issue persists in the duplicate?

Thank you!
