Publishing URLs and sharing it with users who don't have access to Lucid

I tried reproducing the scenario and not finding any additional popup while navigating from the Publish URL.

Do you have any screen shot to take a closer look at ?

I asked a user without a Lucid license to open a link I published, and the pop-up window showed up.

Thank you for the reply! From the screenshot and error message you’ve provided, it looks like you distributed a share link, rather than a publish link. Can you try the following steps to make sure you create a publish link?

• Go to File 
• Click on Publish
• Select which content you want to make visible
• Copy the publish link URL

Let me know if this works or if you continue to see an error message.

Thank you! I published the link and asked an external user to view the document, and this window showed up. When the external user opened the link for the first time, it did not have this pop-up window. However, when he tried to open it again, this window appeared again.
 

Should external users be able to view those links without any messages?

Thank you for the reply! Yes they should be able to view the published link without pop ups. Does the issue still occur when the click on the published link? It’s possible that they could have clicked on a previous link you provided? 

The error message you shared a screenshot of is one designated for share link permissions and should not occur on a published link.

Yes, users still experience this problem when they click on the published link. I publish a link and then share that link with others. Once they open it more than once, that window pops up (the link itself has not been modified).

I asked a couple of external users again to open a published link, and it seems like there is no issue now. There is only a small orange window pops up at the top which can be closed now. I never saw it before.

I have another question about publishing links. We unpublished a link to document A (we didn’t want users to see the changes) and published a new link for the same document A once all changes were done and confirmed. Once we shared that new link with external users, they couldn’t see it at all. It was asking them to log in. What is the right way to do it or are there any workarounds?
