Hi

I have a rectangle with 2 vertical lines connected below it. When I place text over the rectangle the text gets connected to the lines. Is it possible to disable auto-connect?

Hi Steven thanks for posting in the Lucidchart Community! You can disable this setting by opening your Page Settings (File > Page Settings) and toggling the "Line Connections" option.

For more information please take a look at the Page and Document Settings article in our Help Center. Hope this helps!

Eric--that disables MANUAL line connections, too. That’s not what’s needed.

Hi @Paul W102

To clarify, are you wanting to disable text connecting to lines? The text will auto connect to the line if you place it on a line connecting two shapes. There is currently not a way to disable this feature in Lucidchart.
