I have found quite a number of different visio stencils online to import in an attempt to build out proper rack documentation.
Unfortunately, they don’t play nicely at all with the “Server Rack” Shape/object so if I mix and match between lucid chart stencils and visio ones, things do not line up at all….
Is there a way to add some type of value/variable to the imported stencils to allow it to inform LucidChart that’s it’s 1U in size, so that it fits correctly?

Hi @RTSD26_AllynJ
While Lucidchart allows for custom shape data and metadata, it doesn't automatically translate Visio stencil properties into its own container-aware attributes or snap points for rack units.
As a result, manual sizing and using overlay or layer guides remains the most practical approach for creating precise rack diagrams. For now, manually scaling and overlaying shapes is the best way to achieve accurate results.
