Hello,

I’m experimenting with visual activities right now, and one thing that I’m having a lot of trouble with is creating the category drop zones to drop draggables into. It doesn’t seem that there’s actually a way to just create a new category drop zone. The workaround that I’ve had to do is to create another visual activity elsewhere, then copy/paste the existing categories into the visual activity I was working on. Even that isn’t perfect, because I’ve found that when I send that category to the back (because I want people to drop an uploaded image into the drop zone), it ceases to be a category. I’ve had to keep sending those images to the front instead to layer the drop zone behind the image. Can anyone let me know of a better workflow for this?

@tayloran Here is a link to a related and recent thread that is solved:

Hope that helps!

Hello Aparrish,

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, I don’t think this is related to what I’m looking for. I’m specifically looking at how to create drop zones within a visual activity. The only way I can see to create new drop zones if you want more than what comes with the activity is to copy/paste existing drop zones. Below is an example… this activity came with six drop zones. If I want more, I don’t see a way to create new drop zones aside from copy/pasting existing ones.

Hi @tayloran, thanks for your post and thank you @aparrish for chiming in!

Indeed, Visual Activities in Lucid are manually editable with the purpose of giving flexibility to users to customize and adapt them to their needs

Hence, you can add drop zones by copying and pasting them, while also having the option to change their size, layout, as well as their color and shape. You can find more information on this functionality here.

We are continuously looking for ways to improve our products and your input is the most effective way to achieve that goal. You can post new ideas in the Lucid Community and these ideas will be shared with our Product Development team for consideration.

Cheers!
