Hi, New to lucid. Reviewed the customer support options and not seeing the solution. This request should be simple and the marketing materials made it seem like this would be a simple out of the box solution but spending too much time on the this.

We only have 30 employees at the moment but growing quickly. need to support growth on the org chart and present professionally to the exec team and board. Exporting quality is poor or not compatible with google slides. AND the google slide extension export is extremely pixelated and unreadable. This is all with just 30 people, as we increase this would likely get worse.

more info:

  • PNG with transparent is such poor quality the images of people and fonts are extremely pixelated.
  • The SVG with transparent and pdf with background seems clear but not compatible with Google slides will not import svg or pdf.

No customer support is extremely frustrating. What are the solutions for us paying customers?
thanks,

Hi @Bryan Carney, welcome to Lucid and thanks for posting in the Lucid Community! I’m really sorry to hear that you’ve had a difficult time getting support, but you’ve landed in a great spot- this community is dedicated to supporting your work in Lucid's products. I’m happy to dig in here and help!

First, I recommend trying the following steps:

  • Try in a private or incognito window to help us narrow down the potential cause. For help with opening an incognito window, please see this community post.
  • Try connecting to a different network or disconnecting from your VPN (if applicable).
  • After adding a document using the add-on, if you resize it to be larger than intended or if your document contains a lot of details, it may appear blurry. If this is the case, I recommend exporting your document from Lucid as a JPEG or PNG and inserting it to Google as an image following these steps.
    • For JPEGs or PNGs, you can adjust the quality of the image file. I recommend trying the various options here. To do so, upon export, select one of the following options from the “Quality” dropdown:
      • Current zoom level
      • Screen quality
      • Print quality

For more information about the add-on, I recommend reading through the Google Slide add-ons article. Note that you have the option to paste a Lucid document URL in Google Slides to create a smart chip displaying the Lucid product icon and title of your Lucid document. If you click the smart chip, it will use the hyperlink and open your Lucid document in a new tab.

If the issue persists, would you mind sending the following information so I can better understand the issue?

  • A screenshot of the issue
  • A screenshot of the associated Javascript Console output when the export fails. You can open your Javascript Console by pressing Ctrl + Shift + J (if your computer is a Windows / Linux) OR Cmd + Opt + J (if your computer is a Mac).

This will help me take a closer look at what could be going wrong. Thank you for your help and patience!
