Hi

Could you please tell me how I can embed my Lucidchart into a Word Document? I already tried to convert it but then it’s all in one page… However, I need more than one page.

Thanks

Hey @Noah -- thanks for posting! Are you already using our Microsoft Add-in? This is the recommended method for getting your diagram on your Word document.

If this doesn’t work for you, let me know, I’d be happy to take a closer look!

Hi @Noah

You can import your Lucidchart diagram into MS Word by following these steps:

  1. Download the MS Word Lucidchart Add-On here (https://store.office.com/lucidchart-diagrams-for-word-WA104380118.aspx?assetid=WA104380118&searchapppos=1&sourcecorrid=d8322431-0bb3-4c3a-b690-82894e42cb00)
  2. Open your MS Word document
  3. Go to your Add-Ins
  4. Select ‘Lucidchart’ on the ‘Insert’ Tab
  5. Select your Lucidchart diagram from your documents to insert into your MS Word document

Hope this helps!

Hi,

Is there a way to use insert ALL pages of a LucidChart into a word document? I used the MS Word Insert Diagram (Lucid Add-in) and was only able to select one page of the 10 page chart at a time.

My goal is to have the word document have a static image of the imported LucidChart. I don’t want it to be dynamic.

Please advise when you have chance.

Hi @TroyDB

Thank you for the reply! With the Lucid add-in for Microsoft Word, there is currently not a way to insert multiple pages of a diagram at a time. If you would like to see this as a feature in Lucidchart, I recommend posting this as an idea in our Product Feedback section.

On my end, the imported document is a static image in the add-in and not dynamic content that you can interact with. Do you mind sending a screenshot of what the add-in looks like on your end so I can take a closer look at the issue?

Hi @Kelsey Gaag

Thanks for the response. I will request that via Product Feedback

Re: dynamic, I may have misspoke. The embedded chart is not dynamic. I just did not want the hyperlink to show when you hover over the image.

Below is a screen shot of a Lucid Chart embedded in a Word doc. Note that the hyperlink shows.

I’ll play with editing the hyperlink so it doesn’t appear.

Thank you

Hi @TroyDB

Thank you for the reply and the clarification! Do you see this hyper link when having the diagram selected? Or is it constantly showing? Can you try the following:

  • Could you try opening your document in a private or incognito window to help us narrow down the potential cause?
  • Could you also try connecting to a different network or disconnecting from your VPN (if applicable)? Sometimes account performance issues can be related to internet security/speed or browser issues. These steps will help us eliminate that possibility. For help with opening an incognito window, please see this community post (in English)

Did you submit a feature request for multi-page charts in Word?  I would like to see that too, or at least the option to pick which page is selectable rather than it defaulting to the first page.
