Diagram Key font decreased

Logged in this morning to see all my Diagram Keys across ALL my Lucids were resized to 6 point?!?!? In trying to change this (to then copy and paste across the dozens of Lucids that are currently in-flight), the spacing is all wonky. PLEASE FIX!!!!

I beleive that you may have 2 issues. One related to the font size and another related to the text alignment.

Currently the text describing each diagram element is aligned toward the bottom of the icon. To fix this and realign, select the diagram key, then from the toolbar click alignment and choos middle left.

The one relating to the Font size is slightly more challenging. The issue will most likely been caused when a user added a new item to the diagram key and tried to resize the text.

To resolve in this instance try the following:

Select the Diagram Key and choose a new font size - this may reset all, if it does not try #2.
Check for consistent font settings
- Select the first item in the Diagram Key by clicking the diagram key, hovering over the shape icon in the left column and left click
- make a note of the Font settings
- Click each shape inthe key in turn and make sure the font settings match. It is likely that one of the shapes has been set to Auto with the others a fixed size or vica versa.
Disable WebGL Rendering (if spacing looks distorted):
- Go to View > Rendering > Uncheck “Use WebGL”.
- This can resolve visual glitches caused by hardware incompatibility

To prevent the issue from reoccuring

Avoid resizing individual items in the Diagram Key after adding new ones. Instead, try:
- Selecting all items in the key.
- Applying the desired font size and style uniformly.

Use “Set Default Style”:
- Click a blank area of the canvas
- Set your preferred font size and spacing in the toolbar
- This will apply to all new shapes and text added afterward

Thank you so much for your reply, Tim. 🙂

The alignment suggestion worked. 👊🏻

However, the font size in my Diagram Keys happened in files that I haven’t touched for months and I would have to spend A LOT of time replacing all of them with your suggested work around(s). That’s why I questioned if it was a bug. We are talking HUNDREDS of charts that this affected.

No problem kimvandeest, I am glad one of my suggestions helped.

If font sizes changed in untouched files, then I agree there is somthing amiss and it’s likely due to a backend update or rendering engine change.

I have looked into how to raise a bug with support.

The answer was to raise a ticket in the community (Get support – Lucid), unfortunately I can not help any further.

@Lucid Support are you able to advise how to proceed?

Are you seeing the font misalignment and resizing in across all documents or just one?
Does the misalignment and font size persist when creating a new diagram key?
