After a data row is deleted. In a shape to choose the correct row; the row is missing and any row after that deleted row is now offset by 1 or the number of rows.

In a data table the row numbers do shift but this numbering is not updated in the shape data selection.

I believe I found the issue where data was not originally imported using a key. It would be nice if lucidchart would create a key and expose it. The table row and shape reference should use this instead if data wasnt uploaded with a key.

Hi @prichardson

This article explains how to make use of the Refresh or Replace Dataset feature and see if this helps at this time for your use case.

Data Linking: Replace vs. Refresh your data set in Lucidchart | Community

We also look forward to hearing from other community members and associates, who may have alternative suggestions that could better address your requirements.

Hope this helps - Happy to help further!!
Thank you very much and have a great one!
Warm regards

Hi @prichardson

Thank you for your post! You are correct, if you delete a property in the custom data of the shape, the property’s title will not adjust. To add to Humas’s comment, you can connect data yourself through data linking, however, data linking is an Enterprise only feature.

If you would like for a key to be created with manually added data, I would recommend posting this as an idea in our Product Feedback section

To do this,  please first search the Product Feedback section of this community (with the filter Topic Type = Idea) to see if it’s already been submitted. If so, please add any additional details you’d like and upvote the request - this consolidation helps to refine feedback and properly capture the popularity of the request.

If no one has submitted this idea yet, please create one of your own and be sure to include details about your use case or what you’d like to see in this experience. This will also allow other users with similar requests to discover and upvote it, then add details of their own.

For more information on how Lucid manages feedback via this community, take a look at this post:
