Data validation with custom data for org chart in Lucidchart

I have a large org chart and I want the team leads to go in and update a custom data element. However I want to to pick from a dropdown list rather than each of them typing their own wording. For example the list they could choose from would be: Employee Contractor Shared Services.  I don't want one team lead to use "Emp." and another to use "Employee" since that would cause problems with conditional formatting.

Hi Josh

Thanks for posting in the Lucidchart Community! The best way to maintain fields on data would be to use an Excel spreadsheet or Google Sheet to import the data and this will keep the fields as they are named in the spreadsheet when uploading them into Lucidchart.

In terms of a dropdown list in Lucidchart for updating org chart data unfortunately what you are trying to do is not currently supported. However we're always looking for ways to improve Lucidchart and your feedback is the best way for us to do that. Would you mind adding your idea to our Product Feedback space? Ideas submitted here are passed on to the product development team for their consideration.

Thanks for your request and I apologize for any inconvenience this causes you.
