I’m looking to import a lucid chart into PPT. I see a feature that allows me to create a slide from the lucidchart board, but it’s essentially just an image. I’m looking to have the ability to edit the lucid chart board on the ppt slide. This can be done by either:

  1. embedding the board in ppt so when i edit in ppt it edits in lucid
    • I attempted to add the ‘add in’ for ppt can have a restriction from my organization, is there a work around to this?
  2. Copy+Paste the chart on the ppt so i’m able to edit the individual elements on the ppt

Hi @rvassilatos

Thanks for posting in the Lucid Community! Thanks for your help here @aparrish

The only way to make your diagram editable in PowerPoint is to embed it through our integration, as outlined in our Install Lucid add-ins for Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel help center article. If this is restricted by your organization, there is unfortunately not a workaround or alternative method. If you copy and paste an image of your diagram to your PowerPoint, it will paste as a static image, and the image will need to be manually updated as you make changes to your document in Lucid.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns!

@rvassilatos Hi, I see that you already seem to have decided on a way forward since the other option is blocked by your administrator due to your account's configuration. . This is the product question section. What question would you like to ask?

Hey,

Since option 1 is blocked, I attempted to copy+paste the org chart but it keeps coming up as an image so I’m unable to edit it in the powerpoint. Is there a solution for this?
