Hi,

I create and update LucidCharts for my team to specify worfklows.

I would like them to know when i create a new version so they can check what changed between versions. For this I would like that when I modify a file and specify a version that they get notified by email.

Even better I would love that the connector in JIRA Confluence triggers a page modification when it updates automatically the chart. Like that i would be able to create an automation to send a group mail to say that this chart has been updated.

It’s painful to ask the team to add notifications to all Charts and they only get notifications on Lucid app.

Is it possible to do something like this whatsoever ?

Thanks

Hi @Kah

Lucidchart’s native capabilities do not fully support automatic email notifications for diagram updates.
You can also give a try, by leveraging Confluence integration with auto-update embeds, combined with page watching and automation rules, you can achieve a similar outcome, tem able to receive notifications whenever an embedded Lucidchart diagram is updated in Confluence

Hope this helps - Happy to help further!!
Thank you very much and have a great one!
Warm regards

Hi @Kah, thank you for posting in the community! It’s possible to receive notifications for diagram changes however this will need to be enabled on a user-basis. Alternatively,  you could assign a task to a specific collaborator to notify them via email - If you combine this with our Team Hubs feature you should be able to assign this to a group of users and notify them this way. Your team may also be interested in our Process Accelerator which helps teams manage documentation and workflows.

I hope this helps! If you have any questions, please feel free to let us know.

Hi @Leianne C and @Humas1985  thanks for your feedbacks.

I’m sorry but this isn’t really helping me since activating notifications is unitary to each charts, also i tried it with one of my team member and it’s not really working like i wanted. Also Confluence and auto update doesn’t work with the Lucid extension for confluence.

So what i can suggest is two things to improve Lucid :

  • Integrates in Lucid Confluence Extension that modifying a Chart modify the page (you need to figure out when someone has finished to work on a chart to not spam notifications)
  • Integrates team mailing and autorisations specifically into team folders for a manager to notify everybody / partially in the team. So that when you modify a chart the person you need to be notified is notified and can access the changes easily.

Thanks for your answers,

Hi @Kah, thank you for the follow up! Unfortunately, this isn’t currently supported in Lucid, but we’re very interested in your feedback and committed to continually improving our products.
