Hello.
I am using Lucidspark in Apple Safari on a MacBook Pro.
I add a sticky note to the board. I select it. There are two arrows on the left and right side to pull on the sticky note to make it wider. It works. There are two arrows on the top and bottom. The assumption is that it will make the sticky note longer just like a typical 4x6 canary yellow post-it note. But it doesn’t. The sticky note scales up and down in size just like it does when you pull on one of the four corners. Is this a bug because you have two features assigned to the sticky note that perform the same action? I would like to make a sticky note longer in Lucidspark just like a 4x6 post-it note because they are typically used to make a bullet list or dashed line list or numbered list of action items. Making a sticky note longer also would lead into another feature request of mine that I will post separately in detail but just mention here in passing- digitizing post-it notes.
Thank you for your time. Bye.

We can make a sticky note wider then rotate it but the issue is that the text doesn’t rotate with it.
We can add a text box but its time consuming making the adjustments to mimic a 4x6 post it note. Plus you can’t add a background color or a border to have the text stand out from the board background.
We can add a numbered list to a sticky note but then as you add more and more the text scales down to fit inside the sticky note until it's too small to read. We can scale the sticky note up or pinch to zoom in but then the sticky note is now not the same size as everything else we added and we have to pinch to zoom in and read then pinch to zoom out to continue working everything else on the board that it to scale with one another. If we pick a specific font size and add too much content to the sticky note the text will overhang the bottom and we can even move the sticky note around with the text dangling/overhanging the bottom. Since there are list options for the sticky note feature specifically in the Lucidspark desktop website I would like to see the sticky note magically become longer to accommodate a longer list if the user creates one. Canva has this ability for their sticky notes. I would like to see this come to Lucidspark.

Hi @patrickpereira1988

There’s an existing idea in the Lucid Community around this.

Hope this helps - Happy to help further!!
Thank you very much and have a great one!
Warm regards

Some of the ideas/requests in this thread exist in the other thread but the original question about the bug is not raised or addressed in the other linked thread.
When pulling on the top or bottom of a sticky note in Lucidspark it scales it up or down in size when we can already do that by pulling on the corners There are two features for a sticky note performing the same action. Is this a bug? Shouldn’t the corners scale the sticky note up or down but pulling on the top or bottom elongate it just like how pulling on the sides makes it wider?

Hi @patrickpereira1988, thank you for sharing your ideas in the community! Unfortunately, it is no possible to edit the sticky note shape this way in Lucidspark. However you can edit your document in Lucidchart using Universal Canvas.

In the Lucidchart editor, select the sticky note shape and open the Shape Options window. From there, deselect the lock icon. Once deselected, you can make the sticky note taller by dragging on the top or bottom lines of the note.

I hope this helps! Feel free to let us know if you have any questions.
