Lucidspark Sticky Notes are square, resembling a 3x3 physical sticky.  Many users prefer a rectangular format for stickies, mimicking a 5x3 physical size.  Users should be able to control the default size of a sticky note in Lucidspark, or at least be able to select a rectangular sticky.

Hi @Jef W, thanks for your post!

Lucid does support changing the shape of the sticky to rectangular, as you described, in both Lucidspark and Lucidchart.

To do so, please drag into the canvas or double-click to create a sticky > select the sticky item > drag either to the left or right to create a rectangle. Depending on your needs, you can then adjust its size. As such:

However, it is indeed not supported to customize the width and height of the stickies. We are continuously looking for ways to improve our products and your input is the most effective way to achieve that goal. You can post new ideas in the Lucid Community and these ideas will be shared with our Product Development team for consideration.

I hope this is helpful! Please let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns.

Thanks @Zuzia S.  I think you are misreading the topic.  I understand that an individual sticky can be resized.  I wish to be able to change the default size of stickies for a given whiteboard, such that when I double click, I get a rectangular one, rather than a square one.

Please change this back to “Idea” - I understand the existing functionality.  This is a feature request.

@Zuzia S I went ahead and created in Idea topic.  I thought I created this topic as an “Idea” not a “Question”, but see

@Jef W Thank you so much for clarifying that point! My apologies for misunderstanding here. You are right that this is not supported, and we truly appreciate you taking the time to create an idea!
