Currently, you can change the color of the text and the line of the JIRA card box, but I would love the ability to fill the card itself with a color.

This can be done by selecting the fill colour check box

if you want greater control of the colour you can by using LucidChart,

you can switch between the 2 using the menu drop down or using the shortcut Ctrl Shift 1

using LucidChart you can also set up conditional formatting to control the colors of lucid/jira cards

Hope this helps

Hi @Frank McGovern, thanks for posting in the Lucid Community! Thank you @therrick for jumping in here and you’re absolutely correct.

My apologies for any confusion - adding fill color to a Jira card is currently supported in Lucid. Ensure that fill color is checked.

I’ve gone ahead and converted this post from an idea in the Product Feedback space to a question in the Peer Support space of this community, and marked @therrick’s explanation above as the ‘best answer’ so others who come across this post can benefit from this content as well.

To learn more about the Lucid Cards for Jira integration, I recommend checking out the resources below:

Thank you for the information on being able to flip this board directly to LucidChart and vice-versa. I am attempting to set conditional formatting based on the Shape Data > Status field but it does not seem to work.

I have this condition set to turn an entire card yellow, but it is not changing cards that have that status to yellow. I have tried begins with, uppercase/lowercase, etc.

IF Statement in Conditional Formatting Rule
Example Portion of Card That Should Be All Yellow

When set to ‘is not empty’, it reflects appropriately. This proves it can read the Status field.

Hi @Frank McGovern, thanks for your reply. This is a great question! I recommend using the formula if condition for this. Notice in the example below, when the status is set to To Do, then the shape style is set to a custom color fill of purple.

I suggest using the formula =this.$status=”Execution” for the example you showed. Does that result in what you’re hoping for?

Please let me know if you run into any issues with this or have any additional questions. Happy to keep helping here!

Hi @Ambar D  - That worked! I am curious why this formula is needed if Shape Data includes a Status field. Are you able to explain the misconnection?

Hi @Frank McGovern, happy to hear this works!

I apologize for any confusion in this experience. Unfortunately, the status field of a Jira card is not part of shape data, and should be accessed via formulas instead. I can certainly understand why this is confusing given that the dropdown does in include the status option, as you’ve encountered.

This feedback has recently been submitted internally for our product and development teams to take a closer look at!

We’re very interested in your feedback too and committed to continually improving our products. If you would like to leave additional feedback regarding this, please do not hesitate to create an idea which will go into the Product Feedback space of the Lucid Community.

Let me know if you have any further questions on this!

Thank you for asking this question. Reading through your exchanges, i also wanted to know.

My apologies for not explaining this fully in my original response @Paul McC! Please let me know if you have any more questions here too - happy to help!

There was no complaint. The extra detail you added after the probing question was truly enlightening. I appreciated the whole exchange.

@Paul McC Happy to hear this post was helpful!
