Once I add UML use cases and click on Build, it takes very long to compile the changes and crashes. It was working fine till day before. But later I am running into this issue on every UML step and Build

Hi @Raghu

This seems like a browser issue, can you please try a different browser and keep us posted.

Hope this helps - Happy to help further!!
Thank you very much and have a great one!
Warm regards

Hi @Raghu, thanks for posting in the Lucid Community! @Humas1985 is correct, trying a new browser is a great first step. I would also recommend opening your document in a Private/Incognito window to see if the issue persists. Could you also try connecting to a different network or disconnecting from your VPN (if applicable)? Sometimes account performance issues can be related to internet security/speed or browser issues. These steps will help us eliminate that possibility. For help with opening an incognito window, please see this community post (in English). Let us know if you have any further questions!

Hi @Amelia W  @Humas1985

I tried this with disconnecting from VPN and different network. I don’t have any internet speed issues as I work from office and internet speeds are very standard. I don’t see issues with other lucid charts I am working with. The size of lucid chart is 1.6MB which is very less comparatively. But only thing I am seeing is I have around 160 UML steps not sure if that is causing the issue but the lucid chart is still very slow and every change and build takes significant time more than 30 mins to rebuild. Not sure what is the issue still but its frustrating.

Hi @Raghu, thanks for following up with that information! Unfortunately, with that amount of steps, it is expected that the build might take longer at this time. I do apologize for the inconvenience and understand your frustration.

We’re very interested in your feedback and committed to continually improving our products. If you’re willing to share, we’d love to hear more details about your use case or what you’d like to see in this experience within this thread. I’ve also converted this post to an idea so that it’s visible to others within the Product Feedback section of the community - from here, they can upvote it and add details of their own.

It seems you're experiencing issues with your UML use cases after adding them to your project, and it's causing delays during the build process, eventually resulting in crashes. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:

  1. Check for Large Use Case Diagrams: Sometimes, complex or very large use case diagrams can cause performance issues. Try simplifying your diagrams by removing unnecessary details or breaking them down into smaller components.

  2. Clear Temporary Files: The application might have accumulated temporary or cache files that are causing the build to hang. Clear your cache or temporary files, especially related to UML or project builds.

  3. Increase System Resources: Ensure your system has enough memory (RAM) and CPU power allocated for the build process. If you're running other heavy applications simultaneously, consider closing them.

  4. Update or Reinstall UML Tools: If there were recent updates or changes to the UML tool you're using, it might have introduced bugs. Check for updates, or try reinstalling the tool to reset any corrupted configurations.

  5. Check Logs for Errors: Look into the logs or crash reports generated by the tool. It might give more specific information about what part of the UML diagram is causing the crash.

  6. Try Building Smaller Sections: If possible, try compiling or building smaller sections of your UML model to identify if a particular section or use case is causing the issue.

  7. Visit here for more troubleshooting steps: Exploring other resources might help you find a solution specific to your UML tool or environment.

If these steps don’t help, please provide more details about the tool you're using (e.g., Visual Paradigm, Enterprise Architect), so I can guide you further!
