Is there a way to format the output of a formula to be formatted as currency? Dollars with commas and rounded to two decimal places to be exact.

Hi David

Thanks for posting in the community!

Unfortunately there is not currently a way to format data or text as currency. It's an excellent suggestion however and one I'm sure other users would benefit from! Would you mind adding this to our Feature Request form? This form is shared with our development team for their consideration and prioritization as we work to improve Lucidchart.

Thanks in advance for your suggestion and let me know if you have any other questions!

Is there any way to track if this is ever followed up on?

Hi David

The form responses are only available to our product development team but as a growing company I can assure you we take feature requests very seriously and are continuously looking for how we can make our product more useful and effective for our users. As such we would be grateful to receive your feedback.

Thanks!

In the same vein of thought it would be nice if dates were recognized by formulas. I am going to try to write little scripts to get the numbers before and after the forward slash to try to work around but date math scripts can be a lot for every text field to hold.
