As a user, I want to be able to dynamically control the look of a shape based on whether or not it contains a LINK to another page, layer, etc. so that I don’t have to do it manually.

I’m assuming this isn’t possible (yet)? If so, how?

Hi @Cameron G, thanks for your post!

Unfortunately, this isn’t currently supported in Lucid, but we’re very interested in your feedback and committed to continually improving our products. If you’re willing to share, we’d love to hear more details about your use case or what you’d like to see in this experience within this thread. I’ve also converted this post to an idea so that it’s visible to others within the Product Feedback section of the community - from here, they can upvote it and add details of their own.

Finally, for more information on how Lucid manages feedback via this community, take a look at this post.

Cheers!

Hi @Zuzia S in addition to my user story listed above (“As a user, I want to be able to dynamically control the look of a shape based on whether or not it contains a LINK to another page, layer, etc. so that I don’t have to do it manually”), here are some other thoughts:

  • I want to be able to manually add a link to a shape and have conditional formatting make it look clickable.
  • I want to be able to import data and if a defined link data field is populated, that could be applied to that shape thereby allowing conditional formatting to kick in and apply whatever look I have configured for a clickable shape.

(I had a much more robust answer a few minutes ago, but when I tried posting it, it said I didn’t have access???… so I had to type up something again)

Hi @Cameron G

Thank you for adding your additional thoughts. Feel free to add more in the thread if you have any other suggestions!
