Hi team, I have an account map set up using linked salesforce contacts, mostly organised using swim lanes to represent divisions, groups etc. Adding contacts to a swim lane and increasing its height/width results in the swim lanes overlapping with each other. I then have to manually move all the other swim lanes to tidy it up. Is there a way for Luicd to auto re-factor the wider chart to move subsequent swim lanes and other items by an equivalent amount to the increased size of the swim lane, to stop this happening?

Hi @Rob from Redgate

Thank you for sending that support PIN! Unfortunately, the functionality to automatically resize and move shapes when you adjust one of the lanes isn’t currently supported in Lucid, but we’re very interested in your feedback and committed to continually improving our products. If you’re willing to share, we’d love to hear more details about your use case or what you’d like to see in this experience within this thread. I’ve also converted this post to an idea so that it’s visible to others within the Product Feedback section of the community - from here, they can upvote it and add details of their own.

Hello RobfromRedgate,

Thank you for your query.

I am unsure whether your reference to “swim lanes” is a normal-English description of something you have crafted in Lucid, or if you are referencing the swim lane shape in a Lucid library. If you have crafted your own, I recommend you switch to the shape in the “Flowchart” shape library and see whether that fits your needs. You can find more information about what it can do for you and how to use it here: Add and format swim lanes in Lucidchart – Lucid.

If you are already using the swim lane shape, then I am unfortunately stumped. Perhaps a description of how you created it and a little more detail on the way it is adjusting (or not adjusting) itself would be useful.

Regards,

DanaC

Hi @Rob from Redgate

Thanks for posting in the Lucid Community! Could you share a temporary Document Support PIN for this document? This will help me take a closer look at what’s going on. This PIN is safe to post in this thread because it is only accessible by members of the Lucid support staff. You can find steps for generating a Support PIN in this Lucid Help Center article: Generate a Lucid Support PIN.

Hi Michelle - shame that isn’t possible, not a deal breaker.
