You have heard a lot of exciting feature updates from Lucid recently (and if you missed any of the buzz, make sure to take a look at our Lately @ Lucid announcement!). But amid the hype of Lucid AI, assisted layout, and updates to our accelerators, we didn’t want to forget about the small but impactful updates our team has released to make your experience in the core Lucid Suite more delightful.

Check out the most recent updates designed to make interactions within Lucid more intuitive and efficient:

Text block wrapping: Text blocks automatically wrap after a certain length to make text boxes easier to read.

Before

After

No dynamic padding in text boxes: Dynamic padding is only added when the font size is set to “auto,” keeping your text box tidier when you go to resize it.

Responsive size for inserted images: No more massive images appearing on your board! Images inserted into a Lucid document now maintain an appropriate aspect ratio and a reasonable size relative to existing content on the board.

Before

After

Use hotkey “Ctrl + click” to open breakout boards in a new tab: This hotkey preserves your current board while allowing you to view breakout boards simultaneously in different tabs.

Customize double-click behavior: Choose what double-clicking on the canvas means to you! You can customize this action to default to either a text box or a sticky note.

Default to collaborator's initials when missing an avatar: If a collaborator is missing an avatar, their initials will load by default, making it easy to identify collaborators on a board.

Before

After

Add custom thumbnails to documents: Lucid now supports custom thumbnails so documents are easier to identify. You can either select an area of the canvas or upload a custom image.

Hi @Zaq J

Thank you for the summary,

It’s encouraging to see Lucid continuing to refine the core interface alongside their bigger feature initiatives. Looking forward to exploring these updates in our workflows!

I’m personally excited about the text block wrapping update! This has already made my boards a bit more organized and neat.
