I want to use stencils of the same color and style as much as possible.
I can’t find any stencil for a UPS except an ugly Cisco 3D picture in a blue color that I can’t change.
I found a SVG file on the internet of a UPS but I can’t add text to imported SVG files for some reason.
Am I missing something obvious here? It feels like a generic UPS stencil should be standard in an Infrastructure collection?
draw.io has this icon which looks nice

Hi @Qsys ,
If you are happy w/ the draw.io image, you can use that in Lucid as well. Or try to create one that will be suitable for you and then save that into your collection.
I usually saved the ones that I want to reuse (and not available in the standard Lucid) into my own custom shapes collections and make that collections as ‘favorite’ so it will be automatically available anytime I create a new Lucidchart.
Here’s how you can do it:
Copy the image and paste it to any of your Lucidchart, or create it in Lucidchart itself.
If you don’t have any Custom Shapes collection yet, create one : ‘More Shapes’ → ‘My Libraries’ → click on the plus sign, and create your collection group.
The in your Lucidchart, drag and drop the image to your collection like this - remember, you need to wait until it becomes ‘blue’ to ensure the image will be added to your collection.

Hi @Qsys, thanks for posting in the Lucid Community!
Thank you @Catherine Fahidin for all your help here too - that’s a great recommendation! Just wanted to jump in here and provide this resource to work with custom shape libraries. That article from the help center walks through how to add shapes to a custom shape library, as suggested by @Catherine Fahidin in her response above.
@Qsys please let us know if you run into any problems with adding these icons into your custom shapes library - happy to help further!
