Hi, I build electromechanical systems for HVAC. I do not need to use CAD as it is overkill for what I am looking to accomplish. I purchased Lucid as it was explained to me as a MAC equivalent to Visio. I’m having issues importing imaged representations of the devices and challenges creating representations of terminal strips, simplistic wiring diagrams as the features lock to a grid system. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!!

Hi @ulstersystems, thank you for sharing more details about your use-case! It is possible to create a custom shape library by either modifying existing shapes or uploading your own - you can use this to create objects to represent device components and use those shapes across your documents. You can also create custom templates with these custom shapes and libraries to streamline your work.
Did you have trouble with any of these features? Please let me know if you have any questions, we are happy to help!
Hi @ulstersystems, thanks for posting in the Lucid Community! To make sure I understand the issue fully and can point you in the right direction, would you mind providing me with the following information so I can take a closer look?
A brief description of what you are trying to accomplish and the issue you're seeing
Hi! I’m looking to create simple “as-build” drawings for Direct Digital Controls (DDC) systems. These would include an image of the device, lines coming from and image of the device (with a name like Outside Temp Sensor) to an image of the sensor or end device. I’d like to make them components or templates and I would be able to just fill in the text of what the widget is. Thanks!!
