Hi there,

After installing Lucid Jira/Confluence connector, existing embedded Lucid diagrams cannot be edited with an error “Unfurled link macros do not support editing. Try reinserting the macro using the document picker to be able to edit it.”.

The diagrams are embedded in Confluence pages/jira tickets via Lucid diagram URL or shared link and they could be edited without the connectors.

Is it a bug with the connectors which block editing?

Thanks

Hailin

Hi @hailin, thank you for sharing those details. It sounds like your team is pasting the URLs directly into the Confluence page. If that is the case, this is likely expected behaviour as pasted links have limited capabilities including that they don't inherit permissions from the Confluence page, can't be edited from the Confluence page, and aren't possible to open in Lucid.

If you haven’t already, could you please try embedding the document using the Lucidchart diagrams connector by following the steps outlined here

Please let us know if you see any improvements after trying this or if you have any questions!

Hi @Leianne C ,

We have already had the connector installed and configured. Please see below steps to reproduce the issue:

Scenario 1: using diagram URL

  1. Create a diagram on Lucid
  2. Copy url of the diagram and insert into a Confluence page
  3. Try to edit the diagram on the Confluence page

expected result: the diagram can be edited

actual result: error occurs

Scenario 2: using diagram shared link

  1. Create a diagram on Lucid
  2. Share the diagram and copy shared link of the diagram and insert into a Confluence page
  3. Try to edit the diagram on the Confluence page

expected result: the diagram can be edited

actual result: error occurs

Regards

Hailin
