Tips for introducing Lucid to new users

Hi all,

I’m bringing Lucid to my company and I want to design an orientation/onboarding to Lucid for users who are new to the product. We have a history of giving people access to things without any support and I don’t want to waste the investment on this product. Has anyone instituted a Lucid user group within their company? Or developed an orientation to help people get comfortable and knowledgeable in a short period of time?

Thanks in advance!

Hi @Emily Miller, thank you for posting in the Lucid Community!

Here are a few initial recommendations that come to mind to point users to:

  • Check out Lucid Training Labs, which contain free interactive self-service courses and trainings. This is a great place for users to start learning about the product!
  • Encourage users to take advantage of templates, which help to build boards/diagrams faster with a starting point for their work. They can explore the template gallery here, and learn more about templates here.
  • Lucid’s official documentation can be found at our Help Center here! I would encourage new users to check out the articles in Lucid basics, or search for specific topics if they get stuck.
  • As specific questions arise, users can search and post in the Lucid Community by creating a topic.
  • You can also stay up to date with the latest at Lucid by exploring upcoming webinars. The next webinar is the Lately @ Lucid virtual event taking place on October 8th (for US & EMEA time zones) / October 9th (for APAC time zone). That’ll be a great resource for learning what’s new at Lucid! Users can register here, and even if they can’t attend the virtual event, the keynote will be recorded and sent to their emails if they register.

Lastly, a few resources specifically for admins and account owners-

  • Account settings & admin panel articles
  • If you’re interested in learning more about best practices for admins- including tips for documentation, licensing optimization, and more- I recommend you check out our Admin Group! The group is managed by our Customer Success at Scale (CSS) team, which works hard to ensure you have the best experience with Lucid. Joining the group is easy - click here to automatically join! You can ask questions, share ideas, and connect with other admins and the CSS team.

Is there a specific use case you’re hoping to first introduce to your teams? I’d be happy to help, or point you to more specific resources.
